I received most of last years subsciption. This year after paying for two years I have nothing.

Figure out my dissappointment when I saw a new issue at the magazine shop and none at home!

For my last years membership I got 4 out of 12. Want to get a new supscription but know what the result will probably be. I would have thought paying a premium would have solved this but I am starting to doubt that.

In the last issue, they explained that it's been four months between issues because one of the two main people creating this magazine has had a heart attack, and the other got his laptop stolen (with much magazine content going with it).

Yeah, it's bad luck, it sucks, and of course as a new magazine with small staff they're going to have growing pains.

They're switching to bi-monthly and extending everyone's subscription by a year so that you get the 24 issues you paid for (hopefully).

To make up for the lost month (one issue in four months instead of two), they're trying to make the next issue have nearly double the content.

<--- has no affiliation to the magazine, but sympathizes.

As for shipping to Canada.... when do you ever get anything shipped here on time? My subscription to Maximum PC is the same way. It's in the stores way before I get it. Now they've been in business for YEARS and have worked out all the kinks, but for a magazine that comes out every thirty days, I have to spend ten extra days waiting over the stores at least.

Methinks that the big american chain stores get their orders in the states and ship them to their stores themselves. Could be wrong though.

So your saying for my two year subscription and since we are in september (Should have 8 new issues by now) I might get two issues! I was under the impression we get an issue each month. So now I might have a 3 year subscription for my two year payment

I can say this. I will not renew my subscription regardless of what is happening on that side. Could have easly sent some sort of notice to the members! I'm still waiting on an issue. I even called twice to the subscription department to make sure that they have the correct address.

Ian

About receiving subscriptions on time. My superstreet was always on time. Month in advance.

ian's right, being late and not arriving are tow different things - no one would be pissed off and making these threads every couple of days if it was a matter of waiting till the middle of the following month to recieve the issue from the month before - but the fact is that the issues DON'T make it to peoples houses - PERIOD at least north of the border anyways and its no skin off my back becuase i dont own the magazine - if i did however id be making damn sure the canucks got their copies because (regardless of the actually market %) canada is PAYING FOR a large number of mags - and that will come to an abrupt halt if something isn't straightened out

Gonna call RXtuner. Cancel my Two year subscription and subcribe to mazdasport magazine instead. www.mazdasportmagazine.com

Had enough. Not even a letter explaining what happened or to why no issues are coming etc.

Mine always comes early. I've been subscribed ever since they were called boot.

As for RXTuner, if you're not happy, call them.

Guys, when you subscribe for a year you get 12 issues ... not 12 month. Lately 12 issues would be much longer than a year, but we're close to getting back onto a monthly schedule. Still, even with the recent setback, our latest issue was our 15th issue in about 20 months ... not bad. You think Mazdasport is better? Haha, they only did 4 issues in their first 12 month, and none had anywhere near the depth of rotary tech stories and coverage we do every month.

A few things to remember, we DO NOT get forwarding information from the postal service. We're still working on getting the USPS license so that we do, but it's a pain. So if you move, you have to let us know. Best way is to call 866-RX-TUNER and give them your new info over the phone. Also if you miss an issue, call them and they'll send it too you.

The 866-RX-TUNER line is not us, they're a fulfilment house that we pay to handle that. So if you don't get good service and information, LET ME KNOW! If they're not doing their job, we'll find someone who will. Since they're the only people affiliated with the magazine who are getting paid, they better do it right. Brian and I don't pay ourselves a dime for the mag, thus far it's been 100% a labor of love.

Maybe you can help me.

The last issue I received was Volume 2 issue 2. Apparently you are on issue 7 or something.

How do I get the back issues? Also why is it that the Local Chapters seem to receive the issues and not myself?

I called three times the subscription office. Verified that I Have a two year subscription and verified my address. I still continue to see an empty mail box and hear nothing but you will receive an issue by this month. Nothing ever shows.

Hint: Maybe you could in the future mail some sort of notice to why or what is going on instead of letting us have to read stuff on some forum etc..... Or better yet tell the subscription office whats going on since they seem like they do not have a clue.

If this was something other then RX-tuner magazine I would have pulled out over a year ago....

Yup,

month after month I was promised an issue. Nothing. Bunch of tools. I'm a tool for waiting for some subscription for almost a year after pay for 2 years and not getting one issue! First sign should have been missing issues from their first season!

What a way to do business.

Im guessing they won't do refunds right?

seems to me if you can't deliver a first damn issue in 10 weeks, after them saying 8 weeks max, a refund is in order..

and its pretty funny how the person answering their phone had no clue at all when i'd get an issue...i might as well just ask a stranger off the street who doesn't even know what RX Tuner mag is...what a waste of $22...

ya it is. the people at the 1800 number have no clue what is going on.

i was going to renew when they sent out that 2 year subscirtion flyer but then whats the point. i can go down to chapters or other local mag stores in town and get the mag at my own leisure instead of wondering if it will ever show up. i still dont have any of the 4 mags after the August issue "20 pages of 20b's".

So yah I would rather give money to a street person to buy a few meals instead

to bad though, this mag was a good idea, but its seems that there is to much poor planning.

Justin

I went to a few major bookstores looking for RX Tuner and nobody carries it...Barnes & Noble to name one...basically ordering it online was my only option..

they get 1 more week as a courtesy from me to deliver an issue...if not Im requesting a refund, if they refuse i'll report them to the BBB. simple as that, its ridiculous when they can't get out an issue to someone when they have a year to do so (talking about the guy on page 1)

Sympathetic as I was on page 1, this is forkin' crazy.

As hard as it is to start a business from scratch, certain things must be done to keep your customers coming back. Having worked in many areas of the customer service industry I can't believe that a "fulfillment agency" can't be found who can actually fulfill their purpose of getting magazines out to paying subscribers!

In many cases, people don't mind a certain amount of reasonable delay due to circumstances. In those cases, however, people want to be INFORMED. The bulk of the irate callers I get at work are appeased by simply informing them of the situation so that they understand what has happened, and what is being done to rectify the problem.

So Mazdasport had only 4 issues in their first year, okay. Everyone has growing pains as a new business. But that can't be used to justify the delay in RxTuner. Constant and unexplained delays aggrivate people and lose customers, and I'm afraid that at this rate, there won't be any subscribers left for RxTuner to see it's third year. So RxTuner has released 15 magazines in 20 months - it seems that subscribers who have been signed up for those months have not *received* 15 magazines.

There's a small store in Ottawa which sells juice. That's their business, they juice fruits, turn them into juices and smoothies and sell them. They are in a mediumly-popular mall, and have quite a few customers. The person who runs the store actually takes the time to respond to the comment cards with handwritten letters. That kind of commitment to customer service is rare to see nowadays and is why I keep going back to that store. Even when I don't need to buy a bananna smoothie today, and even when it's not on my way. I go because the first time I filled out a comment card, I got a piece of paper in an envelope at my house with three lines scribbled in the owner's own chicken scratch handwriting.

I don't expect anybody to write personalized handwritten letters but I think that whatever company that has been hired to send out the monthly magazine should be provided with *something* to send subscribers every month (or bi-monthly as the case may be now). Maybe not a magazine, but if subscribers got a global, printed letter every month written by the magazine's writers giving an update on what's going on, I think a lot of people would be a lot less pissed off.

That's my Canadian Nickle ($0.02USD)

Strangely enough, I keep receiving the letters to renew my susbcription (I swear I nust've received 6 by now) and it's OBVIOUS that I WON'T register, especially that now they are asking for pretty double the price to ship to Canada, and we don't even receive the damn magazines!

Why don't they have any problem sending me the renewal requests, yet couldn't deliver the actual mags properly?

I agree, I could deal with delays no problem, extra few days because we're in Canada and all, but where they lost me is where it seems like they have no problem when it comes to asking for my precious money, but when comes time to deliver the product, nobody cares.
