Want to lose $5600 US?
I had better things to work on over the last few weeks and let this slide. I can't believe that he hasn't even bother to change alias.
There have been a few more like that on kijiji and I keep asking where the car is over and over again just to toy around with them.
...whatever...

And yet, someone (or multiple someones) will be taken. Appealing to people's greed (making it look like they can get something for nothing, or a lot less than it should be worth), is a very effective scam tactic. We'd all like to be the one who comes across a mint '59 Caddy (or a '94 FD R2!) that was stored carefully away by some older driver after only having a few 1000 miles on put on it, now being sold by some un-knowledgeable family member after they passed away. And the fact such stories really happen, once in a blue moon, primes the pump for suckers (my brother found a sweet '64 Merc in primo condition for $1500 at an estate sale once).
... you'd think if someone was going to scam someone that they would use reasonable prices and then take $2k or $3k off
