ON US car - auto seatbeats; anyone ever convert to normal?

I see that most US market 89 to 91 RX-7s come with those ridiculous motorized automatic seat belts. Has anyone ever tried to remove them and install normal seatbelts?

Its a pain in the ***, you need to have another complete car to get all the trim and pieces needed. ABCD pillar trim pieces are all different.
Not worth the effort...unless its a mint car for a very good price and all the parts to convert are easy to get.

There is no C or D pillar in an FC. Just A and B. So that's easy. it's 2 pieces of trim per side, plus one seatbelt per side. I'm not sure if the buckle is different or not? It probably is. So there's that too. But either way, it's a pretty easy and straight foreward swap.

OK, so that's 1 vote for easy; 1 for hard. Who wants to break the tie?
