The V-band cracked? I've never seen that before!
Try Vibrant, the best V-bands I've ever seen, they have a machined lip so they fit together perfectly and wont leak.

Try pricing it through them first and pm me, I'll probably get it to you for cheaper.

Ian, I'm sure I can get that welded for you when you come up in June if you can wait that long.
Here is a website to buy the flange.

- Vibrant Performance V-band flange assemblies feature a unique "Male/Female" design to ensure proper alignment of the flanges inside the clamp.
This may cause a problem since the mating surface on my turbo is flat? What do you think?

In that picture its not the v-band clamp. Its the exhaust pipe that has a cnc machined lip on it that you weld unto your dp and connect it to the turbo with the v-band clamp. It cracked right at that lip. Right around the lip on the exhaust pipe. It cracked before the weld that was used to weld onto my 3" exhaust.
I will see which direction I will head with this repair.
Gone for this weekend and the next two weeks so I gather it will not get fixed very soon

Ian, before you go with SS again find out what Series it is, something like a 304 is going to be **** in that area again, It's like using the SSAC manifolds you want a SS series in the 316/321. Those have a much higher Chromium, and Nickel content; using a Series like this will prevent the flange from cracking again.
Personally I would just go with Mild.
