Hey Clearcut,

I am in Terrace Bay. I have been a rotorhead for about 10 years now. I have an 87 TII, that is sitting in the garage right now, due to a blown motor...

How many 7's do you see around Thunder Bay. Anytime I am up there, I never see too many.

What do you have?

Greg

Wow, sounds like a great car, Clearkut! I would love to check it out sometime, while I am up in Thunder Bay. As a matter of fact, I may be up there next weekend. I have always had a thought to do up a 1st gen, as you did, with the 48IDA, but I was thinking along the lines of a PP. That car must fly! You should run it at the drag races in Terrace Bay sometime.

I plan on rebuilding my 13BT over the winter. I already rebuilt it once though, but I did a cheap rebuild. The rotor housing coolant oring support broke, so basically I pulled it apart, epoxied an apex seal spring in place of the broken piece, and put it back together. I wasn't expecting much out of it, so I am not too upset. Oddly enough, it basically is just low on compression. I get even pulses on each housing, just extremely low (30 psi).

The car is basically stock, with a Haltech E6X in it. I never have too much time in the summer to play with it, so I have never had the tuning dialed right in on it. Hopefully that will change next summer!

Later,
Greg

I was supposed to go to the terrace bay drags this year but i have recently had to start working a lot more because I have too many bill that need paying,I have wanted to race it for the last 3 years, 1st year i got there late saturday (it was all stock then), last year i was having problems tuning the half bridge that is now taking up space on my work bench(cermet housings suck), this year i was ready but my work doesnt under stand how much I put into this hobby.
now i have a new employer that I can actually get a day off in stead of getting laughed at for asking.

send me a pm a few days before if your ever coming by this way.
