storage activity

Question.. like most of you, my fc is tucked away for the winter until better weather comes. Im curious to know how often you guys go downstairs, or to your "u store it" garage to check /start/stretch your rides.
My babys right downstairs so i manage to start her up once a week

Going to be "storing" mine outside to make way for the Audi or BMW if no one buys it soon.

Proper storage means not starting the car until the storage period is done. Starting the car up once a week to "warm it up" is probably the worst thing you can do.

Storage is just that..Storing the car until Spring.
Starting it up will just leave Condensation through out the car.Leaving it alone allows the car to "freeze and Thaw" over time.
Just have Good Coolant in it and a Gas stabilizer..Done.(basically).

^^This. Especially about starting the car once a week being bad. If the car's run at all, it should be fully warmed up so fuel and condensation in the engine and exhaust can be evaporated off as much as possible - which in winter probably means a minimum 20 minute drive - which isn't storing the vehicle.

What gas stabilizer are you using?

...what do you do to keep rodents (particularly mice) from building nests in the interior during storage?? I seem to have a mouse problem in my garage this year for some reason. A cat isn't an option for me either...

Damn, I was gonna say get a cat....... I'm sure there are other tricks out there to keep the rodents out. Build a wall all the way around the car out of the poison bar bait. That'll keep em out.

exterminators have a "kit" for storing cars . 25$ . three bags of fragrant stuff that mice dont like , one for trunk, one for engine bay, one for interior. I am trying it this year. it doesnt smell bad like chemical . Kind of a pine smell

also plug the gaps in the air vent area under your winshield wipers .... mice will build in there

For years I have used an ultrasonic rodent repeller because I had a major mouse problem in my garage. I was finding the little guys everywhere; in boxes, in the BBQ, living in my wood stash. There is plenty of conflicting scientific evidence about whether these repellers work, but I have to admit that since I plugged the thing in, I have not seen a single mouse. And it is an annoying enough noise that I have to unplug it when I'm in the garage (I have abnormal hearing range) so I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be to an animal that hears well in that range.
