Spark plug wires are arcing

I'm running a stock set of spark plug wires on my 1987 RX7 GXL. I noticed this spring that one wire was arcing a bit, after I washed the motor. I thought the arcing would go away once it dried up and after a little wiggling; and it did.

Now, as I'm prepping the car for storage, I must have bumped one of the wires the wrong way and so it's arcing again; little crazy. It seems the more I touch it the worst it gets. I don't want to drive it like that. (It's arcing at the blue boot, at the power pack by the wheel-well fender; not the front power pack.

Can the one wire be fixed or should the whole set be replaced.

A new OEM set from the dealer is $46.50. Is that a fair price? Is that a quality set? This is my non-turbo summer fun car; it's not a racer; it's not a daily driver. It's mostly stock and I like to keep it that way.

What do you suggest??

I paid 38 something for Accels years ago, they work fine, but people are making 400hp on the Stock NGK's so they are fine as well, it's up to you!!

get a hold of londonmazda(member) he should have an extra set of wires.
You can just replace the one wire but Why?..you don't replace just the Left side front brakes when you do that right?.
It won't Remain Stock if you just change ONE wire with a Replacement anyways.(think about it!).not unless the one wire is a stock wire!
get a Good Set of 8 to 10mm Plug wires..The Old Oem wires do not last Forever anyways.

I paid twice that for the aftermarket wires on my FB, so yeah that's a good price. You can't keep any old car 100% original.

I guess if one wire is shot after 22 years, the others can't be far behind. And if the original wires last 20 years then they must be worth the $50 from the dealer.

It may also be arcing because of a crack in the insulation of the coil pack. You may also want to check your timing, because if your timing is too far advanced it may also arc.
