The Nummelin Motorsports Team will be out in force this year. For the #23 RX7, it will be running in both of the CASC GT Challenge 3 Hour Enduro's at Mosport with myself and "special" guest drivers in the seat. The car is being upgraded with a new 3 way adjustable shock suspension, a new tire deal (fingers crossed) and lighter weight with better brakes. Oh yeah, it will have all new wheel studs, LOL. It will also be running the new CASC Time Attack Series in Mod, driven by Mark Clyde in his first year of competition.

The #23 Cougar will be running most of the rest of the CASC GT Challenge events (GT3/4) with potentially a new tire program, a couple of CTCC runs (when it makes sense) and we will be taking it south of the border to do some SCCA STU events at Watkins Glen and Mid Ohio if they can ever get the rules for the class finalized. We will be putting the Quaife dog box back in the car, a new driver cool suit setup and changing the brakes over to Project mu pads with Performance Friction rotors, I need to get the beast to stop!!!!!!!! The driving will be done by yours truly.

Eric

it is. I've done lemons twice now in a very fast and very unreliable dodge stratus. the full 24 hour race is so much harder than the twin 7's. it almost felt relaxed compared to running 24 straight.

I'd totally recommend it to anyone into cars.

Right now I'm trying to pick up a 240SX or miata to track and daily drive this year if my GTR isn't track ready early enough for me to enjoy the summer. I want to get on track at least once a month this year.

Is that dodge stratus by chance the one with the Canadian flag paint job on it? I forget where I'd seen it but that looked awesome! lol

I've built my car for drag racing and will be hitting up Mission Raceway Park for as many friday night street legal events as i can.

I maybe put 500-1000km's a year on my car. I have not time to really drive it.

The Chump Car display showing "Mealtime Racing" at the Motorsports Expo was hilarious and encouraging... that looks like an awesome series.

After taking a year off last year, if budget allows, I plan to drag the FC to a few rounds of the TRAC (The Roadraces of Atlantic Canada) series at Atlantic Motorsport Park this summer. Didn't turn any laps at all last year, so getting a bit of an itch.

Currently a 295,000km S5 NA motor sitting in the car (pulled it from a parts car I bought that hadn't moved in a few years) and the thing fired up and ran like a champ on the first push of the started button. The "race engine" is on a stand waiting to be taken apart and put back together. Not sure when we'll get to that, so my run it with the junkyard motor just for laughs. I'm going to be slow after hardly turning any laps in the last two years anyway, so I might as well be able to blame the equipment.

I raced in the Jack Canfield Memorial this past fall. AMP is definatly a fun track and should be on every roadracer's bucket list.
did the lemons race at Nelson Ledges in Ohio, but hear the Chump car is better.

My new race toy bought from Racer Jason is home in my garage tonight, I am looking forward to having the 2 rotor turbo in it for this season

I am a member of the CAN-SAF team, crewing on race weekends, seeking sponsorship, creating proposals, handling communications with race sanctioning bodies, and also just brokered the deal for the new CAN-SAF racecar. Oh, and I still have my RE inspired FC2000.

I have foolishly accepted an offer to work some chumpcar events this year. I'm on the west coast team so we get to do Calgary! I'm really looking forward to that race, every single canadian racer I have ever met as been chill and awesome. I can't imagine a track full of you guys .

If any of you Chump hopefuls have any questions or want any free (read: bad) advice, feel free to ask me!

I'll be running our ChumpCar FC at both Portland ChumpCar events and Spokane (24hr woo). As well as our first lemons event at ORP. I hope my team are up for 4 events in one year, I sure am.

I might also take the ChumpCar out for some hillclimbs and autox when I get bored.

From a story I was told this weekend, a track full of us results in teams named such as "Toyotal Recall" who respond to wheels falling off their cars in-race by shouting out, "NOT AGAIN!!!"
