Just checkin to see who is goin to Secret Streets this Friday. I should be there, just not sure if I will be running or just spectating.

 

I'll be there, weather is looking promising this time around..

Just wondering if anyone went and how they performed.

 

I went, they had a great crowd and 194 cars entered in both events. Excellent showing for the first night. No spectacular crashes, no amazing breakdowns (except for a blown fwd tranny). I was a good show, lots of participation. Apparently the showing was stronger than "any" from last year.......

there were lots of 7's in the parking lot... probably between 7-10
none on the strip though.

 

Sooo, are you gonna let us know when you are ready to run yours on a friday night? Hopefully we can plan a 7 presence one friday night.

 

I gotta get that stub shaft fixed. I dont wanna run it until I have a rear end strong enough to take it. so mid-late summer for the track. until then I think it will just be lighter street use. I may put the stock wheels back on as well because I would rather spin than break parts.... its quite a dilemma when you can't push your car. If I can get a cobra IRS setup then I'll run slicks and I should see some real times. It'll be back out on the road pretty soon though.

 

I ran auto-x all night. Had FTD by about 3 sec.

 

It was very nice to see some rx7 presence there! 1 FD and 1 GSLSE at autocross.

I have been using and posting in the Canadian regional RX-8 club page about the secret street, and a buddy who has a 7 in his garage reminded me not to leave you 7 owners out of the discussion. I have been trying to rev up the troops to head out every Friday to have some fun!! Last week there were only like 10 cars runnin the autocross. I'm going this week, and I hope for the rest of the summer. I look forward to having a solid mazda showing!!!

Is it gonna be on this Friday as well? I really wanna check out the autocross and see how it is. Wouldn't mind doing it myself but I wanna scope it first. Hopefully I can make it tomorrow and if I knew there'd be some Rx'ers there it'd help with motivation to make sure I get out.
