Fine... how about a saturday, gas guzzling, brap brap making, stinky smelling, completely impractical meet?

well it's classified as a "BBQ" but it's a bunch of friends hanging out in the house watching some racing vids. and such, and their deck has a cannopy if i remember correctly and the BBQ is on the deck....

rain rain go away, come back.... NEVER!...

wont spoil my plans for sure....

I will be drunk and passed out in Red Deer on saturday.
Otherwise I'd come out and play.

Maybe you guys should get Erik to invite y'all down to Priddis to his Shop so you can check out the progress on his 914 project car....

I'll be up for doing something this weekend provided that I don't break my car in the meantime.

Last summer I attended a dyno day at Concept-1 that the porsche club had put on.. It was a beautiful day, got lots of pictures and got to see a buncha nice cars.. as well as put my car on the dyno.. The venue was perfect.. lots of parking, they provided the gas bbq I belive, and perhaps even the canopy.. Lots of people also dropped by since theie store was open for business as well.. Who would be interested in doing this again this year? I definitly want to get back on the dyno with my new motor, and I'm sure there are a few who would like to get some dynocharts of their own cars to show off...
If I remember correctly, last year there was enough time to get 10-13 cars on the rollers and make a few runs each.. cost was something like $50 per car... We can make arrangments with concept-1 to do the same thing again this year if you guys are interested.. we would probably need a min number of people to do this, but if we can get at least 10 of us, that would be great.. if not, perhaps we can get some other car groups out there as well.. I'm thinking if we can charge an extra $5-10 per person on top of the cost to run on the dyno, we can cover the cost of food (burgers/hotdogs/drinks/chips/etc) as well and make it into an all day event.. So who would be interested in doing this? I'm thinking of around the end of july perhaps? If we start planning this now and get some commitments, we can get this done by then... I'd prefer to do it before aug or sept when the days tend to be too hot to be comfortable for both a person and their car...

About saturday.. This is just a quick mini meet, nothing too organized.... Gives me an excuse to take the car out and waste part of a day... How about meeting at noon? North Glenmore park, same place as last time? any other suggestions?

Sounds like a good place. How about 1PM-2PM? Not that it matters, but the sun should be out until 10PM at least.

I'll be driving either my Miata or an RX-7. I'd rope Gary into coming with his fresh RX-7, but hes out of town. I might be in my 2nd Gen, but I doubt it due to a nasty header leak.

As for the Dyno, Im on one next week so I donno if I'd be in to run on a dyno day. I'll definetly come and watch.

I'm affraid I'm in Golden for a wedding this weekend (not mine thank God) doing my very best Ed V in Red Deer immitation.

I do however love the idea of a dyno day. Concept 1 ran it very well and smooth. Got the cars up and running quickly. I would think a rotary day there would be fantastic. With that said Toma runs a good dyno day as well, and is pretty flexible with stuff. Whatever is decided will be fun.
