Question RHD vs LHD downpipe question

Thought I'd post this here sinde most of the RHD cars will be in here.

I was recently told that a LHD downpipe won't clear the power steering rack on a RHD FD. Is this true? I've been looking to upgrade and need some advice.

Thanks!!

LHD downpipe won't clear, I found out the hard way haha. The HKS one does though. I have one on my FD. Its hard to tell with pic RX7 Store has. But I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. Buy one from a company based in Japan, where all the RHD FDs are

This++

HKS does fit, I run one... as well as the FEED (same style as HKS) and the GReddy... although its hard to find any but the HKS...

The one from the RX-7 store down pipe will NOT fit,

get the HKS, it has the top 1/4 of it cast, so it expands similar to what the turbo's do, the rx7 store is just a flat metal surface with the pipe welded to it... not "as" good..

It's pretty easy to tell, if it does not have a large bend for the steering column it will not fit! The one on the rx7store looks right. But I would call I believe it's Jason @ 614-771-8966 to confirm. HKS does sell one for RHD/JDM so do many others.

Here's the Pettit on the same site no large bend:

By the way the rx7store may not be correct, no flat side! Only reason I'm looking it's on my list ,you just reminded me.
By the way here's some option direct from Japan but not cheap:

Steering shaft is the issue not the rack.

The HKS Downpipe WILL FIT

it is designed to be run on JDM cars... the "generic" RX7store ones are not...

I don't know if it can be made any more clear then that, wait, I do...

I run a HKS on my JDM car... works great....
