I haven't done any ghetto engine pulls in years now.. canadian tire had engine hoists on sale a few years ago and my back has been happy ever since!

yeah I lifted my dead 10AE motor into the back seat of my mom's cavalier when I was 17, don't think I'd even try that now at 23 LOL

I remember a few years ago I dropped the motor out of my FC.

I stripped it down, pulled the tranny, jacked it up high, unbolted the motor mounts, let the motor fall onto the gravel, tied my other RX-7 to the motor and dragged it out from under the car. Amrstronged the shortblock into the back of my Rx-7 and took it to the shop for repairs.

All without the help of anyone. I'll never in my life do that again.
