redline buzzer help... doesnt frickin work!
i just wanted to link this to canada in case someone here knows a 'how-to' or something. the fsm electrical section scares me frankly, and all the threads i found on this topic say to simply 'fix it'. need a little more help than that.
i searched using [rpm buzzer] [redline buzzer] [warning buzzer]
granted i only looked through the 1st 3 pages of 300 possible matches, but alot of times i get the word buzzer from page 4 of a thread that has nothing to do with the my topic.
thanks

i just came back from a coffee run. redlined... nothing....
coldfire.... take pictures!
max, earlier this summer i looked down to see my tach off the scale(prolly 8500rpm) when does this rev limiter kick in? and where is it located? ecu?
terrh, ive gotten that far, now i want to know how to fix it
the mini map i drew in the other post shows the 4 pins that have to either be desoldered and new buzzer put in or what i want to do, just head to rad shack for a replacement.

lol, take pictures of what?
and yes, the buzzer has 3 purposes (maybe a 4th...i forget), but the thing is everything but the RPM function is re-iterated on the "idiot light" cluster.
i'll try to take a look at the circuit diagram when i get time. should be just a matter of testing to see if the actual sound unit is functioning properly/getting power, and then it's a pretty simple trace once you determine if it is the power/ground or signal that is at fault...
oh, and the stock "rev limiter" on FC TIIs are about 7500 (don't know if there is a difference between S4/S5 TIIs)...it's somewhere in the ECU, lol

Yeah the car does have a rev limiter, the n/a does cut fuel somewhere around 8000 rpm.. I play with the rev limiter setting on my haltech on the TII depending on how much boost I am running since I dont have enough injector for really high rpms at high boost..below 17 psi I run it up to about 9500, over that I hold it to 8000...
