ON Questions about Cayuga Track

Hey everyone,
I have a few questions, I wanted to have some fun this summer and the rules are a little confusing for me regarding my vert.

Rule 7: (ironic that its 7) Helmets are mandatory for soft-top vehicles. Which is a no brainer for me but what should I do since I have about an inch space between my head and the roof as it is, any suggestions?

Rule 9: all open top vehicles must have rollover protection. Does this mean when it is open top or if your car has a soft top? I am not trying to modify my interior by installing a bar, which I am certain will affect my ability to use my top.

By no means am I trying to go ***** to the wall but I would like to have some fun this summer.

Also, random questions regarding the safety inspection:

What should I do about the seat belts? They have never locked for me and I have had them replaced already within the last 5 years. (factory belts)

My one strut mount bolt snapped, it does not affect it currently but I could see this being a safety issue. Is there anyway to replace just the stud?

Thanks.

Get a racing seat with low mounts, that should give you some room for your helmet. I would strongly advice you to get a roll bar bar of some sort, get a bolt in one if you are scared of committing to a welded one. If the factory belts work and arent tattered to ****, use them. I would recommend getting harnesses if you can to go along with a roll bar. Safety should be your priority before going fast. A lot of people are reluctant to spend the time and money getting safety equipment and would rather spend it on go fast bits. Better have the safety stuff and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

the strut bolt can be easily replaced by pressing it out and pressing one in (the same knurling etc. as the one you pressed out).

i would say if you have a vert of any kind a roll bar is necessary. Weekday lapping is the best time to go. Not many cars.
