Here's the 18 psi (boost guage) datalog...let off at high 6's to keep the car straigh through 3rd... 55% Throttle..
Yep I think I need to find a set of those sard 1000's for the primary..Who did you get those from?...Max

Just use print screen then open your picture editor and click on paste...then save as... done..
I use it alot like that, then I wall paper each boost section onto one big image so I can see how the datalog looks through each boost pull through each gear.. Tedious but it works..
Thats on Centex 91 octane with premix...I tune on 91 so that it will be good on pretty much any premium brand..Max

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of AFR's do you run at 18 psi with 91?
I take it a BP needs to be tuned richer to begin with, so are you then really rich up high as a safety margin?
I've been running 18-20 psi recently on my SP engine, but that is on 100LL Avgas, just to be safe. Mid 10 AFR after 17 psi, 10* advance and 14 deg split.

I can't wait for a ride in that thing Although I have to say i'd be hard to beat the ride I got when the dogmission was fully operational, that was just wild.
Max the guy's username is RotaryWorks and his name is Shane. He was very good, I believe there 996cc injectors, for the life of me I can't remember the manufacturer of the injectors, I think it was you who told me anyways,
Cheers

At 18 psi its right around 10.8:1 on my wideband, everyone will read different so its hard to say what its actually at. But thats the sweet spot a/f for my engine combination on my wideband..
The safety margin is more in the ignition and the hardware setup of the ignition, there are alot of things that happen to the ignition once you cross into boost, and care there will pay dividends.. You can definetly back down the split, but I wouldnt wander below 6 deg of split..
I dont know what rotors you are running, but I have 9:1's so 20 psi is the reasonable boos limit of my setup, with the 8.5:1's its tunable to 25 psi on pump gas.. I have spiked to 23 psi on my car buts its been so high up in the rpm band it would never have had a chance to detonate, if it happended in the 3500-4000 it probably would have barfed..Max

Did about 3 more hours of tweaking today.. Leaned it out across the top end alot, bumped the fuel pressure a wee bit more and stretched it out to 20 psi on the boost guage..
So if anyone every asks, is 20 psi on 9:1 rotors on 91 octane premixed gas possible, yes, yes it is...
The car is scary fast but very smooth at this boost level, its just a wicked linear pull through every gear( exceot it eats up 2nd and 3rd pretty fast with wheelspin)... With the dogmission it will be a blast...
Here's a screen capture of the 20 psi run through 4th gear..

Guess who got to have a ride in Max's car today!
That is one *fast* ride. We took her out on the highway and showed me what 20lbs of boost can do. Incredible. I'm surprised we didn't burn up on re-entry...
The bridge-ported motor is very cool. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a comparable sounding engine, but I can't come up with anything. You definitely have to hear it.
I can't imagine what the car would be like with that dogmission installed. Scary.

The dogmission is nuts, truly nuts, but at this point it's needed. The stock tranny just wasnt ment for that type of power, not strong enough, (although it seems to be holding up) and not geared for it. I'm sure the task of rebuilding it is already running through Max's head.
Did you get any tuning done on your car Shaun?

I spotted you yesterday Shaun on Mcleod south at around heritage I think it was. I was telling my buddy about your sweet single turbo setup when I look in my side-view and low and behold theres a silver 3rd gen with an agressive stance. I say to buddy, I bet thats him knowing my luck. Sure enough, there was goldie locks behind the wheel when you rolled to the turning lane.
Grace is lookin fine. It just sucked that I spent 3 hours waxing my car yesterday only to have it rain.

I can't imagine what that car would be like with the dogmission. If I hadda ridden in the car with the dogmission in it, there'd probably be finger nail gouges in the interior.
