Every rotary out there running without cats/emissions and premix is going to stink..
One may begin to assume that the only reason you persist with the same comments over and over, is an attempt at some backhanded sly remarks due to the fact that we generally regard you as an unknowledgeable dork.. (I appologize to anyone I might have lumped into that "we" comment and doesn't belive he is an unknowledgeable dork)...

Hotty--> I broke the dogmission a while back, I am just preparing now to take it apart and rebuild it..I need to empty my head of a few things before I dig into it..
Yeah its a fun car to drive, a little hard on gas and brakes under boost but fun to drive..Having Shaun's car around was pretty funny, everyone that walks by that thing either just stares at it or says wow its an rx-7...Beautiful car..
If it ever needs a second home, I am sure I could accomadate it...
A few more tweaks and it to will be read for 20 psi..
..Max
You told me what your gas mileage is like under boost. I guess that's the price you pay for power.
You mentioned the brakes... Do you think you'll upgrade them any time soon?
The FD is definitely an attractive car. I think 20 years from now they'll still look good.

ShaunO: I agree, the FD has a timeless look to it. I had a friend once tell me he saw a new RX7 and he was floored when I told him it was at least 10 years old. I can only hope I get my new ride looking as nice as Grace.
I never spent $5000 on a supercharger, nor do I intend to spend $5000 on a supercharger. I never doubted the performance of max's car, nor have I ever said that a supercharger was more powerful. I just like superchargers better, thats all. I belive turbos are more popular because there is more of them. Doesnt mean superchargers have any less potential.
I know max's car is fast. Hell I bet its the fastest, in a straight line. I'd be all over it if it could accually be proven to handle all that power. And if you want to put that to the test, August 29th @ 5:00PM my club is hosting a track day at race city. I'd like to see his car pushed to the max. That not a challange or anything, more of an invite. My Miata is slow. Garys Super-RX-7 is slow by your guy's standards. But both our cars are bolted quite firmly to the ground by comparison.
On another note, I drove a real 20B yesterday. Not a swap, a real genuine 20B Eunos Cosmo. I dont care how fast any RX-7 in this city is, there nothing that can compare to the feeling of that 20B wrapped in a lap of luxury.

You haven't doubted the power of Max's car because there is nothing to doubt. He hasn't boasted of making stupid numbers - like some do with cars that don't run. If he boasted that he was going to make 1000 whp on the dyno and then couldn't back it up then I would understand you riding his case. If you don't like the guy or don't think much of what he has acheived with his car with his own sweat be a man and just say so. Feel free to point out where he could have improved or where he hasn't backed up what he said he could do. All you do is make snide remarks that have no basis on anything. Now regarding your lapse of memory here are quotes of yours from a previous thread:
"Neils S/C Lasted 5 years of brutal driving and conditions and it runs better now than it ever did. I hope garys lasts just as long. Hopefully I'll have the 3rd S/C."
That was followed by:
"As for the price:
The Blower was $5300 Installed on the OLD motor. That included the carburetor, plumbing, labour, new front cover, cross member and mounts and a couple other things that may or may have not been used."
What changed your mind? Price vs what you get? What was promised vs. what was achieved? Aren't these the same criticisms of the supercharger route that you were arguing against?
By the way, both Max and I really like the 20B Cosmo. Too bad it only came in an auto. However, I personally don't think you're in any way "special" or "smarter" because you drove one. I also know it wasn't a swap because if it was it would be sitting under a layer of dust in a corner waiting for someone to rescue it.

Oh I love max. Hes awesome. Hes the goto guy. And I highly respect him, even though he probably isnt fond of me, as most of you guys arn't.
As for the supercharger, I said I dont intend to spend $5000. Gary took a different route. He went brand new. I intend to research and throw together a few backyard projects with the information we learn of Gary's project over the next 2 years. Blow a few motors, then work with it. I have 2 13B's just sitting here waiting for destruction. I just dont have cash to throw around like some of you guys. But I can almost garuntee and I will admit it that I will probably go Turbo when 2 years rolls around. For now, superchargers are my thing.
I also learned lots of information off gary's project. I said it would make over 200HP. It will. Eventually. I still back that. In a combination of humility and trail and error, we realized what the problems were and they will be adressed over time. The power is there on his car, it just needs to be tapped. An example would be we reduced the pulley with less boost and jetted down bigtime. We got more power. A Hell of alot more power. Kept climbing after 8000RPM where as before it died at 6000RPM.
So ya, I say alot of remarks and stupid ****, but thats how I learn. So you guys can call my bluff and tell me Im wrong and why. Then I know. Sometimes I'll try and call your buff and go with it. Then I learn that way. Its better than starting stupid threads and **** like some guys do. I've got a million questions to ask and nobody to answer them because nobody wants too. I ask things like how much power a supercharger gets and they just tell me to go turbo. Thats not what I asked.
Anyways, Im just kinda babbling (like usual). So I'll leave it at that.

Intend, pretend.........you have no money but want to blow two good 13B engines? You must have worked for NASA at some time. Most of us "guys with cash to throw around" wouldn't even imagine doing such a thing. That's probably how we got the "cash to throw around" to begin with.
The problem with remarks and stupid **** is that it gets tiring to correct - especially when it shows no sign of getting any better. Sort of like a slick used car salesman telling you one thing and then when you prove him wrong he tells you something different. After awhile you just don't care.
As for your original "stand 10 ft back" comment I took it you believe that the car is running super rich which would mean you don't "respect" Max's ability to tune his car which is why you're getting the responses you have been getting lately. I guess you should have stood behind my T2 when paid to have a stand alone EMS installed. It used a 1/2 tank just to go across town. In their defence, it's easy to understand why the tuning wasn't perfect seeing as how they must have used up all their red hockey tape on the wiring harness so there wasn't enough left to fix the massive vacuum leaks.
I'm glad that Gary is happy with the performance of his car and I sincerely hope he gets over 200 rwhp out of it. I can't say I completely understand the reasons for going the route he did though. I just hope that he wasn't mislead to believe that the system would produce more than it has. That is the problem with quoting B.S. numbers like the 200 rwhp that you are claiming - and were claiming when Max tried to correct you before you went to the dyno. You were wrong then and from the looks of it still wrong now. How much longer do you need to hear it before you "learn"? How many engines have to be "popped" to prove you're wrong? And you wonder why it gets tiring.........

The HP will get there, it just takes time. Code Blue did it on the same supercharger - the OLDER generation I might add. Why can't Gary hit over - EFI or not? He makes more boost and moves more air, if not by much. Topic laid to rest, it will get there eventually. Ironically enough, with max's help from what I understand. Gary spent as much as he did because he never intended to spend that at all. He thought it would be a simple $3000-$4000 upgrade on a strong stock motor and last a few years of summer driving. It would be unique, look good, drive good, get similar milage and have more power than stock. Unfourtunately his motor was not strong and when in rome, might as well rebuild.
As for the 10 feet back thing, it was no disrespect at all. It was a picture and I simply added a caption. Note that everyone was standing 10 feet away. Also note the haze of exhaust. There is some method to my madness.
As for the engines, both were given to me and both are high milage and unlikely to find a home. And what I mean by blowing them is I intend to cheap rebuild (with proper information on hand) to learn, then boost them and see where the limit lies. Max said the supercharger doesnt move enough air. I belived him when I saw the size of his turbo. He knows forced induction, I never doubted that. I argued the camden because the new camdens are different than the old ones. Camden claims they are better. The supercharger I intend to use is much larger than a 7 Inch camden.

OK kiddies chill....Lets all hold hands and sing Kumbiya...
Not to sure the TII will go to autox type events, the speed of that car overwhelms the brakes quite easily, and with the top end that car has, I dont think I could slow it enough to avoid the wall.. I honestly think my GX is a better roadcourse type car since its nearly 600 lbs lighter, and has around 1/4th the horsepower..
I am still waiting for the next porsche club track day...I was looking forward to giving it a go, to bad it rained out..
Yeah, Shauno I have the plan for upgrading the brakes. its just a matter of taking the time to secure the parts from overseas.. Although with premium at something like 1.12 per litre I am not sure I am in the mood now for driving my car to much, that really puts a damper on my will to work on them..Max

As for Auto X, its a good course. Its the south roadcourse and it has some moderately fast sections and most is pylons. Your car would do pretty good I think you'd be surprised. I ran only 2 seconds slower than the 250 crank power Miata versus my 142 crank power miata. CSMCanucks super fast 3rd gen owned us all. We even had an Automatic Accord there for lessons in comedic understeering and an S14 for a lesson in amatuer drifting.
