Pft...Who needs coolant...?
Pft...Who needs coolant...?
Ok, well hopefully this is my "repair" for the season, and I can get it out of the way now.
Apparently my car thinks it's too good for coolant, and has decided that it doesnt want to deal with it anymore, proceeding to deposit a nice puddle on the garage floor...
A cursory inspection suggests that it is just the overflow tank which has cracked (or some related seal etc) so it shouldnt be too much trouble. The car is a Mazdees now getting fixed up, (and I figured as long as it will be there for a few days, why not put on some new rotors, with nice fancy lines and dots etc) and should be ready for the meet on Sunday.
And finally, one last modification being made which should make a few of you happy...I have instructed Dave to remove the trailer hitch.

Excellent!!
Good to hear you got it there without incident... I thought it'll be alright..
Can't wait to see the new brakes... Seems everyone's been getting drilled/crossed rotors...

Lates,
Me got a similiar problem. Pressure cap is not holding pressure so the coolant is actually boiling at a lower temp (not overheating) which overfills the overflow when I shut the car off. New pressure cap on the way.

Lates,
OH SWEETNESS....I will hold you to that!
Ah you FD guys. Never cease to make me laugh.
Al least you didn't figure that less coolant = lighter, and kept driving.
So, are you Ebaying that FD hitch? Should bring big dolla's, as it is one of a kind.

Your not using the hitch. Man I wish I had a trailer hitch on the 7. Too bad the FD one won't fit on the FC.
My is in teh worst shape ever.
Happy b-lated birthday. I got a gift for you so don't fret. Btw how old are you? 28?

Charr33: Did Mazdee's say it was a crack in the bottle? Hope so. anytime FD and Overflow tank are used in the same sentence I always think "bad o-ring", rebuild motor time.
Derek: Happy B-day punk! How dare you not tell us.
Your catching up to me!
