Question Parts from Japan?

So I'm wondering if people want things imported from Japan? And if so, what? I'm not asking for personal order lists but I'm wondering what in general people are looking for. There's the Rx-7 monthly Magazine, Option2 magazine, Hot Version or Option DVDs, lights or alarm parts, steering wheels, wheels, etc, etc. I'm just curious as to what people would be interested in the most if I import some stuff. Thanks, -Joe

are the rx7 magazines in english? if not, I'm probably not interested in those

steering wheels and car wheels, yes to both. Trick gofast parts on the cheap (greddy turbo kits, intercoolers, etc) would be great as well. I can't believe how much of a deal I got on my greddy stuff just because it was purchased used overthere and then imported. Suspensions, etc. too.

Ok cool, I'll check it out. Yes as for the Rx-7 magazines, they're in Japanese but as they say...sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. You'd be surprised how much more advanced they are in Japan for car technology than we are in Canada/the US. Also what years are you guys looking for? It's a lot easier to find FD stuff, but FC isn't too hard either...FB on the other hand is not easy at all.

FD and FC go-fast bits!

I'd sure be interested in those. Especially since FD parts are so )(*#$ expensive over here compared to anywhere else, especially compared to there. I'd buy a whole FD clip at a reasonable price.

One thing not to bother importing, no matter how trick they are, is stereos - I don't care how cool a stereo is if it's useless for FM then i don't want it!

HAHAAH

that's a pretty good one actually :P

yeah they do FM but a weird portion of it, like 70.0-85.5 or something, which makes it pretty useless over here. When I was at the importer picking up the last few body panels for my FD (which reminds me, I need a JDM side marker light for the front fender if anyone knows where I can get one!), they had a couple there that were really nice stereos but don't do our FM, so I had to pass.

Yeah FM is no good...you'd get like half the band. iPod transmitters, etc from Japan are no good for North America. I will look for go-fast bits I found some interesting stuff in Japan that we don't have yet in Canada/the US for the FD/FC.

for those who interested in getting FD stuff from Japan, don't forget to check out the price from auction.yahoo.co.jp and call them up for group purchase discount. btw, from now on unitl 22-25th, most of them are close for vacation.

99.5% of Yahoo.auctions sellers will not ship out of country, so unless you ahve someone inside the country willing to bid for you, your SOL.

'go fast bits' are still expensive, more so then north american parts that are considered 'go fast' .. maybe if they've been demo'ed on the track for a few years they are cheap but, the Japanese parts designed for high speed/high end ARE priced accordingly.

I got all my greddy/trust/etc stuff for next to nothing because it was used japanese stuff.

Over here, it's worth a fortune... my wastegate is worn but not too badly, and my turbocharger/manifold/intercooler are practically new.

Yeah used Japanese stuff is cheap compared to North America. Yahoo auctions is expensive these days because too many people gained access to it so the prices went up.

PS, Will, I didn't forget lol
