Just curious to if OMM is being organised this year? It's usually in May and in that case, we have just over 2 months. There are various clubs already organising meets for July/August, wouldn't it be a good idea to start organizing it now?

 

We were gonna do something, but now that you've shown interest we're probably gonna stay home and watch the Harry Potter movies on DVD...

I have spoken with the organizer, RXcetera, in person recently. He'll make the announcement when he's ready.

2 months is a long time for people with finicky cars to confirm attendance to anything

 

2 months isn't long when you try to get your car ready for that weekend
And the longer warning the better to give people time to get time off for that weekend, if needed, but there will always be those who it's not good for them

And what can I say, I'm anxious...I always look forward to this meet

 

I've made damn sure that the one weekend I was slated to work in May I booked off

Now as for whether I'll have my carb back and installed by then is another story... but I could always borrow a spare nikki from someone.

Rxcetera is still planning to host this year? That's awesome. I know I hadn't seen him in forever and was worried about if someone else would have to pick up the ball this year.

well due to the parts meet at mosport on may 14th, we figured it might be best to set a date in june... this is not for certain...

rxcetera is gone a vacation for a few weeks, when he get's back we will get a date set.

glad that question was answered ..about the conflicts with Mosport and the Ottawa meet being held in the same month..I am tryin to get my car ready for Mosport..once in a lifetime opportunity( for this owner anyways) to get out on a track..i'm goin for it..I like the meets though too..puts a face to all this typin!..(karting anyone?...)

 

Damn, if its June I'm screwed as the boat will be in the water by then and we'll be away every weekend in Merrickville or Smiths Falls. After the fiasco with my wipers when trying to get there last year I was especially looking forward to this year.

I selected my BOQ course date between 2-11 june just so that it would be impossible for me to miss the Ottawa meet.

 

hey whanrow, i started taking the highway to maitland and take that too huntclub, it cuts like 10 min off my time

as for when the meet will be we'll see when rxcetera gets back we might just make it the long weekend in may again, but i just wanted to let you guys know it might change this year

 

this will be my first time, so hopefully it happens.

Yup!! We want to know the date, because we intend on being there exactly between 2 and 3 pm. If you don't see us at the meet location we'll be at the closest restaurant.
