Opened Engine Pics "Thread Follow-Up"
Your heart beats,... mine Rotate !!!... for real !!!
here's a follow-up from this thread i had opened i few months ago.
https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-forum-42/pics-request-opened-engine-pics-917502/
here's why i needed some pics, i had to get some clear pics for my tattoo artist to get all the details he needed.
he ended up taking a picture from Brian's album (BDC Motosport).
the irony is, it took 7 hours to do !!!!
the effect i wanted him to do is like if some of the skin was teared up and instead of seeing the heart, we could see a rotary engine !!!
The artist is Eric De L'Etoile (funny thing is, he drives a Mazda3 and Trans Am with 383 stroker!! I told him he can tell people he worked on a rotary engine at least once!!)
Here is his shop :

thanks a lot guys !!
well this tattoo was an idea i got like over a year ago. i took my appointment in February 2010, and at that time his availability was in November 2010, that gives you an idea on in demand my friend is.
As for the tattoo, it was done in 2 separate sessions, first one was 4 hours, 2nd one was 3 hours.
Ill add some pictures when the skin is not red anymore, we should be able to see the shading way better.
ANd for those who like my tattoo artist friend, he does a lot of convention in Canada and Europe.
But yet none in the US, no one approached him on that matter. But he wants to go since his girlfriend is from Rhode Island. And he knows that the tattoo industry in the US is at its peak !!
This would mean great business for him.

Well at least if you're ever stranded on a desert island with nothing but a rotary engine, a die grinder, a generator, and some tracing paper, you're all set... as long as you've got someone else to do the tracing
Honestly though both these tats show the most awesome rotary devotion. I'm jealous, and in awe. Now I've got to get something! *starts thinking*
