I'm still working on the RX-2 trying to get it together. (I actually just started last night!)

BIG thanks to Al (01Racer) for lending me his Holley carb for the half bridge engine thats in my RX-2 right now. Hopefully it all works out well and should have it running just in time.


So whats the plan for Thursday night? when are we making a stop to sleep? We dont plan on staying at a hotel, a tent works just fine

 

I should bring my tent too. Figured we would stay at a hotel. Share the rooms. Bringing sleeping bag for sure.

 

Ian I've got streets & trips on my laptop so I'll have decent maps of everything we'll be driving right with me

Just gotta clean the beast up tonite and start packing up. I have a one man pup tent i may toss in there also. Definetly bringing a sleeping bag. Also socket set, screwdrivers, a few necessary wrenches and pliers.

Ian, what time you thinking of stopping at my shop Thursday?

 

I might end up going to a hotel though since I need my internets for work...

I'll probably pack tonight, I hate doing stuff last minute.

My suspension stuff came in and it's ALSO crap. I'm sick of dealing with this. Looks like I'll be going down on a **** suspension. Oh well. (It's not /that/ bad, I just wish it was better)

I guess SpecFC is going to be riding with me, his car won't be ready in time

 

I will /not/ be going to the keys. I thought I would go but if mike is riding with me he has to be back up here for tuesday or early wednesday anyways, so that kinda makes it impossible.

I think my tentative plans are

Sunday: Skyway/TN roads
Monday: Washington DC and back up to PA
Tuesday AM: Fallingwater in PA
Tuesday PM: Airplane museum in OH
Tuesday night or wednesday morning: return to ontario from northern OH.

 

DON'T FORGET YOUR FRS RADIOS also!!!!! CHANNEL 7! or whatever. Mine only has main channels, not sub-chans and I'm not sure if anyone elses is like that too? I might go buy a better one, I hate having a shitty radio.

umm, what are we doing for thursday night? We didn't really plan anything out solid-like. I figure we should be across the border for 9 PM, how late does everyone want to drive? Post a solid answer, ie 1AM or 10PM or whatever you are fine with, and I'll find us places to stay.

I don't care if we stop at a hotel or camp, whatever is fine with me.

We have about 2.5 hours to get from my place to Terrhs, so that'll be about perfect if you guys arrive at about 2ish. Thewird knows where my shop is, but for reference Ian, if you were going to the dragway (where MOTM was last year) you can simply go past the entrance for the dragway, and then make your very next right. I'm 6km's up that road on the left (yellow buildings, name on roof - can't miss it)

As far as thursday night goes I'd be up for driving until about 11-30 12 and then crash. Doesn't exactly matter where we stop but if I feel like **** like I do today, no way am I sleeping in a tent haha

Got the Sterling on and she goes like a bat out of hell now. If you've ever considered getting a Sterling, stop thinking about it and get it. I'll be posting a better review after the trip. Only problem I'm having is one of the AN adapters on my oil cooler is leaking. I think the bung may be cracked, so I'm going to take my spare tomorrow to see if I can get it welded, and swap it in. Just have to vacuum, pack up and wash the exterior.

I spent all day trying to change a coolant hose on the GTR that decided to fail today. And when that didn't work, I just blocked it off. It just runs through the throttle bodies, doesn't look that important anyways. And it can still feed through the head anyways. )(*#$# 3 week old hose failing, what the motherfuck.

 

oh, to the people that are meeting up in windsor: we'll probably be there for 6:45-7:00
