next Calgary meet July 16

We had good success with the most recent meet and some have shown interest in something more frequent. Sooooooo, I am suggesting the third sunday every month, so July 16 will be the next meet. Location will be Big Hill Springs Park (nice country drive, halfway to Cochrane) at 2pm with a subsequent cruise to Cochrane for ice cream afterwards........if only a few show up or a lot it doesn't matter.

This can be something simpler like just meeting at Peters for shakes without the country drive and cruise. Any input??

I hear gary mentioned he wouldn't mind having the guys over. Hes got plently of parking across the street. And Central Air in his house. And a hot tub. And an oblivious wife.....

even if the meet is a small one I love country drives, maybe we should meet at ghost lake and have a picnic or something like that.

We'll make it 2pm at Peters followed by a cruise to Cochrane for all who wish to cruise.

Working on the 16th and peter's is a bit of a trek for a guy in the deep south... not to mention Cochrane.

I *might* be on vacation that weekend. I'll try to make it though.

The last time someone suggested Peter's Drive-in, I'm sure there was something fundamentally wrong with using that location. Maybe they don't like people using their parking lot if they're not eating their food?

Bowness park is a nice location for a meet...don't know what the South people think about that. 84stock, let know once a firm meeting place has been decided and I'll update the post on the 8 board.

Oooooooh man oh man..can't please everyone. OKay, final decision on location is "Bowness Park" at 2pm. Cruise to be decided at the meet. The location and time is final! Now let's all drum up some support, who's coming?? For those in the south, all you do is take Sarcee to bowness Rd and you're there, it's not that bad. I live in the North and enjoyed the Black Diamond trip.

This is probably why there aren't any regular meets.

Don't know what your obsession is with picking places that are either busy or small in area. Glenmore park worked well because there was decent parking and space.

Krispy Kreme, A&W and Peters are not ideal locations because of lack of parking and the last time I was Bowness park, I wasn't blown away with how much parking they had.

Is getting food at the meet important? If not, then any far corner of a mall parking lot would serve well as a meet location.

aww ****. bowness park is soo close to my house i could walk. but ir rather take a bus then see damage done to any 7's. north glenmore park is a nice place for a meet, no speed bumps, lots of parking, lots of bugs. this time we know to bring bug sprey. though this year i've been keeping some in my back pocket anyways.
hope fully we can agree on north glenmore park, and we can come up with a list of meeting spots during or afterward, i've got a few.

Okay, we'll go with north glenmore park, at the end of crowchild trail. This was successful last year and I agree with it being a good choice. Thanks for the input!
