The speed bumps would've been a problem for me too.

I'm in for North Glenmore Park.

10 more days? Count me in. I'll bring my FC this time.... just got a new complete RB exhaust to show off. It sounds very cool.

Hey Alak....if you need a ride there you can take one of my 7's if you want. I wouldn't mind increasing the turnout by bringing all of them.

She's running great. 2000 Km's later and the oil is still a nice golden color. I yanked the plugs and the deposits seemed normal. Just threw in a K&N along with an n/a RB front half exhaust and the turbo back half. I found some struts at p-n-p and installed them. Rides nice and runs great. I got a much noticable improvement in power losing the plugged cat and rotten stock exhaust. I put on some new front shoes and a master cylinder. So far that's all I've had to do to the car.

I'd love to know if anyone has ever mounted a fc suspension/drivetrain onto an fb. I know you can change engine/tranny and rear end etc etc, but I'd love to drop an fb body onto the fc wheels/suspension/drivetrain. It would fly with that gearing and size of tire and lack of weight.

Front subframe fits, you just have to drill a couple holes (2 I think). Theres a guy in the FB forum that did this on a track day car I belive. He put everything FC up front. Mmmmmm Rack and Pinion Steering.

I did the FC motor swap couple years ago. Worked out allright.

And ya, I suppose I could pilot one of your rotax's. Its not like Im driving anything else at the moment........

Two Sundays from now, eh. If my SA is rolling then I will be there.

It does roll right now but I had to cut a new thread on the front wheel spindle. I can move the car but don't want to drive it like that. I'm not even driving it to work.

I replaced the right side spindle. (Thanks to MosesX605 !) Less than 100 km later the left side went. I'm not sure why.

I suspect the nuts were on too tight. A friend looked at the bearing grease and said it looks like it is separating into high and low viscosity clumps.

I am now looking for another spindle. I'll be at pick-n-pull again this weekend. It's been a while so I'm off to post in the classifieds again.

Dayum, the good news is that I have this weekend off and can attend. The bad news is that the only reason we had both RX7s at the last meet was because it took place at our house.

Those same two cars are currently uninsured for driving and are collecting dust in the garage. One needs a transmission swap and a front-end component replaced (followed by a safety inspection) while the other needs some cosmetic body work and a carb swap.

This means we'll be at the meet--- but in either the Mazda pickup or Nissan Sentra beater, which we'll have the consideration to park down the street. Of course, we'll also miss the cruise.

Cool, as long as you show it's all good buddy. Suggestion: put the rx7 sticker from your old car on your truck!

Wish I could make it to this one - a cruise to Cochrane's always nice - but I'm leaving on vacation the 15th, or 16th at the latest, so I'll only be present in spirit. BTW Gary, good tip on the Redline tranny lube - filled it with MT-90, and find that it's much less prone to the crunch on upshifts to 5th. Not all synthetics are created equal Not entirely crunch free tho'. Maybe the original owner sold the car because she couldn't drive stick - she had it for under a year (2nd owner had it for almost 6, and I don't think he abused it, cuz he never winter-drove it and had he been hard on it, it could have been in bad shape by then).

Is the the fact that this is the last day of stampede an issue for many??? I know I used to book holidays to be away during stampede myself. We only have 5 maybe's and 3 yes for sure and risk tying up sunday afternoon for a 5 car mini meet. It is disappointing to have so many ask for regular meets and to "start a club" and then see so little support. Would Sunday July 23 be better for you guys?? Some immediate response would be appreciated if we are to change dates.

I think the 23rd weekend is the champcar race in Edmonton. I have tickets, even though I won't be in Canada. I reckon car guys would typically flock to that event, so maybe that date is a bit off for a meet.
I'm back in Calgary area Aug 2.
