Need your opinions

Hey guys, I have a 1992 FD that i need to sell but I'm not too sure how much to list it for. I bought the car from someone who couldn't start it so i got it for a good price. But now i need to sell it.

The car is RHD, has 66000 km. The body is in excellent shape and the interior isn't bad apart from the loose console that houses the shifter. The engine is a single turbo setup. Car seemed flooded so im going to change the spark plugs and hopefully see what condition its in. However assuming that the engine is blown, how much can i get for it. I was able to crank it so i am hoping it's just flooded, but i would like to hear your opinions. Thanks for your time.

The nicest FD's are only worth about $1,430. I wouldn't post a non-runner for more than ~$820.

Seriously, how much do you want to get for it? Post it for that much.

If you go through the trouble of taking the plugs out, check the compression before you spend money on new plugs. Everything on an RX7 starts with a compression test and ends in a depleted money bag.

In terms of what your car is worth, think about what you paid for it in relation to what they fetch in a virtually trouble-free state. Then if the engine is blown, consider the cost to restore the car back to a 'virtually trouble-free state'. That's the amount a potential buyer will expect the price to be reduced by.
