Glad to hear that you pulled it together in the end. Definitely an ambitious project for a first timer. Can't WAIT to see (and hear) how JDK's motor will do on the track!!!
This event is quickly turning into a big RX7 meet lol....
Oh, I should also note that it's completely free to come and spectate. Anyone is more than welcome to join in and see some action! Come by and chill, relax, and cheer for our fellow members (and thewird cuz he's sooooo coming)!

Two weeks to go! Found out my car does 16psi pulls when its cold out. YIKES. Rotary stock 16psi=BOOM. I didn't think that a stockish car can hit that much. It actually maxes out the stock boost pressure gauge and feels like it hits fuel cut! I should only be running 8 psi.
Anyhow out must go the turbo to port the wastegate and see if I can get more range on the flapper by grinding the edge a little flat. All this 4 days before the event as I will not be able to start till next week.

I'm almost ready myself, just got my alignment done, engine and clutch are broken in, and will be getting it tuned on Tuesday.
btw, Pat from Altech in Etobicoke, AWESOME for alignments. My car was up on his one machine for almost 2 hours and he did all the work himself, I think they ran through 4 or 5 cars on the second machine while he did mine. As it turns out, getting the caster right and equal on both sides is triiiicky
I set my car up as per howard coleman's recommendations, hope they're good!

Yes the weather was great and the event was flawless. Organized and way to kind. Thanks for lunch and the snacks and the bottled water!
JDK is too fast. Owned me. I posted a best of 1.10.9 or something but got progressively slower during the day with a slow time of 1.13.9 or something at the time attack.
Whatever I did to the turbo to cure the overboost of 15psi worked because all I could get out of the turbo was 8.8psi peak with about 6.6psi being the norm.
Can't wait till next time to improve my lap times. Sure is different hitting a track with that timer in the car.... Stared at the dam thing to much. When Jim was in the car I was way more relaxed and probable posted faster lap times

such a great day!!!!, decent weather, great service, great Event like always!, even tho i didnt run a Rx.. but a 98 civic cx hatch i still managed to post a 1:09:02 as my fastest time of the day, (my second time driving this car haha), cant wait till the next one!
