Sell me your FC!

0-100MPH in 11.4s?

I'll race you when I get my Carrera 4. It would be a close one.

You''ve got first dibs on it if I do go to sell it.

But I don't think you'd like my asking price..... I want what it cost me or I might as well hang onto it.

$1100 (car after taxes)
$100 (rebuilt brake master cyl)
$60 (used struts)
$1500 (full RB exhaust w/ turbo parts presilencer back)

I'd need $2700 for it or I'd lose on it without even getting much driving enjoyment from it.

TVR's a sweet ride. Back in the summer of '81 I got to drive two brand new (back then) TVR Tasmins--- a silver coupe and a red convertible. Handling was excellent and acceleration was comparable to that of the 1st gens of the day, ie: peppy but not spectacular. They used a 2800cc Ford (of Germany) V6.

BTW, remember that rusty12A core you gave me that day I delivered the 1st gen door from Pick 'n Pull to your house? Well, just for grins I finally tore it down. There were no surprises--- One rotor toast, the other borderline. Both rotor housings flaked beyond repair and irons are pitted and worn to the limits. No sign of warpage though (tension bolts not corroded, bottoms of rotor housings have no baked-on oil deposits, etc) but without a proper straight edge it's hard to say for sure.

Still, since Mazda no longer manufactures new 12A housings or irons it may be worthwhile to just hang onto the parts anyway. You never know when a reconditioning process that actually works may come down the pike. (hint: it doesn't look like cermet coatings is it from what I've been able to gather).

Thats a fair price all things being equal. Is the RB exhaust the REV II - 3" or the normal 2.5"? Header too?

Adam said it was the n/a front half, turbo back half. That's all I know. I'm not a 7 geek/guru like you guys yet. :P

Road race header, presilencer (with pipe for actuators), Y pipe and the two exhaust cans.

TVR? Don't think I've ever seen one in Calgary before, looks sweet... sort of e-type-esque. Hopefully insurance won't be too bad. I hope you get it!

Holy crap that's light. 2300lbs. No wonder it make 0-60 in 4.4seconds.

I'd say they're light..... they're hollow, composite fibre body and tubular frame.

(TVR Tuscan, but the construction is similar)

It's scarey to think that a 10mph accident could do that much damage

Now that's a light frame/chassis!

Now if Mazda only made our beloved 7's that light.

OMG!!! After hearing this beautiful musical cacophony or roar I really should be shopping for the 500 model.

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...708ce1572e.htm

I love a good BRRrrrrAAaaaaapp like everyone else here. And I'm a rotorhead all the way. I'm not a big fan of pistons at all, but this sounds AWESOME.

Seeing the car go from a dead stop to whatever speed at the 32 second mark, I can easily see the claim of -100 in 11.4 as being true.

My god that sounds awesome.

I will get it!

I just had a realtor at my home today saying I could make 100K or more after her fees for selling it. I could get a sweet FD too.

A TVR griff is a definate. But I might go shopping for the 4.3 litre "big valve" model instead.

I contacted the dealer, it's made in April 92, so I can get it here April 07. Just in time for all that nasty gravel to be street-cleaned off Calgary's roads.

100k..........hmmmm You could throw a 3-rotor into the Blue FB.......

Wouldn't need much out of that 20B to move an FB.

I will also confirm that that particular TVR model sounds fantastic, what all sports cars should aspire to sound like.
