My FD died :(

I crashed it into a telephone pole last wednesday.. nobody was hurt (except for the pole, which cracked in half). Anyways it is a sad day. I really enjoyed owning a FD and I definitely hope to get another in the future. just really glad nobody was hurt.

Glad to see that you weren't injured in the crash Panda. Total write-off? Sure there were some good parts salvageable...

Yeah it was a total write off, pretty sure the engine/drivetrain was OK but I'm assuming the insurance company is going to own the wreck now that they are giving me a check right? So I can't really go parting it out?

Glad to hear you're OK. Looks like there's a red FD selling in Montreal for cheap on AutoTrader – not sure if it's legit, though.

winter spin I had to boost my battery because it was dead and instead of just letting it run in the garage I decided to take it out. Didn't turn out well.

Leaning towards getting a C5 Corvette Z06... might get another FD though if the stars align.

Nice! I'll try to get in touch with the seller.

just tried calling that guy with the 7k fd on autotrader. The number wasn't assigned so I'm guessing it isn't legit.

The Insurance Act of Ontario allows you to "buy back" your vehicle when it is a total "write-off." Your settlement cheque will be the value of the vehicle minus what they would get for salvage. After parting it out, you'll have some extra coin in your pocket to go towards another FD.

After my truck was written off I bought it from the insurance company for $500 and re-sold it for $2500 with an unfit title. $$$!!!

Poor FD.

Good to hear you're alright.
Still wouldn't have ever thought of taking the FD out in the winter. No winter tires, and regardless of how "clean" the road might have been, it's never as clean as the spring/summer/fall months.

Here, here their bad in the rain, my FD as far as I know has seen snow once coming back from DGRR in West Virginia white knuckle all the may thru the mountain. Almost ditched once passing a rotary swamp boat on a trailer.

I could fix it. Doesn't look that bad. It's just the front end from the picture.
