Ian put the project on hold in the spring because he was moving and didn't want to deal with the return of the car during the move at the end of the summer. Focused on other projects in the meantime.
I've been back on the car for a few weeks, taking a time lapse video of the body work. I'll have some pics to Ian this week of the progress.

Yup as Joe said. Project on hold but moving forward now. I will post some pictures of the stuff I have sitting around. Alot of the basement floor has parts set up for my reinstall.
As I've posted before I was not in a hurry for the car and Joe did me a favour by keeping the car during my move etc etc....

Here is some poor quality pictures of what all the parts look like that was removed from my car. Hard to see but there is an amazing amount of miscel parts that will have to be reinstalled. Not sure If I will be keeping the Full turbo setup or going back to complete stock with a new S4 harness. I would love to change my exhaust over to a racing beat setup as the S5 in the picture has it and is awesome to drive. Getting older and can't care less for the noise or attention
Pictures of the new engine going in.
Engine
Built by Mazdee's in pickering.
Dowelled
3mm two piece NRS seals
RX8 stat gears
Race bearings
Brand new housings.
Ported engine, UIM and LIM and throttle body.
Bully Stage three Clutch.
No idea what else I did on the engine but I know I will never go this big again...... $$$

I think all of the places that do engine rebuilds are pretty much the same. Mine was a bit of money due to new housings and those NRS seals and springs, 3mm milling and then the dowel kit. You have to dowel (Lack or works here) the whole engine to accept the three extra dowel pins. Not to mention rx8 stat gears and race bearings. I've been a going to Mazdee's since 1992 as well........

My engine wasn't cheap either and I don't have half the work done to mine as you do. Rotaries = $$$$$$. Can't wait to see this thing rolling again. Is it going to be done for DGRR11?

I might be taking the 89 if I can't find a ride or I don't want to take the old toyota up. The 89 with the suspension setup and stock turbo will be fun at the gap..
