Just wanted to say it was great seeing all the RX7 guys at Mosport yesterday! I think it was the 1st time this year all the cars were at the track on the same weekend! 1st I really have to thank my crew chief Chris James for all the hours he puts in and help he gives me! Also Mark and his team at Mazmark Auto for the great power, I have NEVER gone anywhere near the fast up the back straight in my life! I ran out of 4th gear (over 10,000RPM!) and had to use 5th! The other RX7 were real fast, Kurt was bullet fast as usual but ran into some bad luck in his Sunday race, as well as 23 Racer has some issues. Our car acutally ran great all day, I made a poor brake pad choice in the 1st race, but it all came together for us in the second race. We actually finsihed 1st in the G70 class which is a catch all class for non VARAC members. I should have been in the G70F class, and we would have won that class too! I went faster than I ever have in the car which was pretty cool. Driving wise I still have a lot to learn about all the changes we made to the car, but with more seat time and more confidence in the car it can be much faster! We broke our new exhaust system in the 2nd race, the back of the muffler actually broke out, then it ground itself to smitherines dragging on the track!

 

How does the classing structure work in G70? Did you guys beat that green and white jaguar that I think was in G70 as well?
