Mosport GP - Friday, May 28, 2010

2010 sounds like it's a long way off, but it'll be here before some of us have our cars prepared and ready for the track. And what better way to spend the winter than dreaming of your next track day (well, unless you're an ice racer!). There will be three groups with about 22 cars each - 20 minutes on track/40 minutes off. $325 for the full day includes lunch. Drivers new to MIR must sign up for a coach - $100 extra. Drivers must apply and provide a track driving history. For more details go to:
Mosport May 28, 2009 or PM me.
Questions, post them here!
Regards,
Frank

It's only 139 days away. 17 of the 56 spots have been purchased.
In a few minutes I'll be heading outside to shovel some snow ...

There are 20 spots left - 36 purchased. Last year it was full before the end of March.

9 professional marshals from Motorsport Marshaling Services; Ambulance and Flat-bed on-site; catered lunch; awesome coaches; all this plus you get to see Jim's car in action!
If you've got questions, PM me or post them here.

At the pace it's going right now, this event will be full before the end of February.

I believe you can, I'll be taking a few people that just want to ride along for a few laps

Spectators are fine - Mosport's a huge area with great public viewing spots. You cannot enter the track staging area nor can you go onto the track. A driver, such as Jim, can arrange for guests to sign liability forms and get a waiver to have access.

Last year a few folks tried to join the catered lunch. Obviously, that's a no-no.

See everyone there. Two spots left. First week of February.

Sounds like it would be a fun event. The only issue I have is that its the same weekend of the Shannonville GT Challenge Race and only 6 days after the Victoria Day Weekernd Sundowner. I am planning on running the RX7 at Mosport and the Cougar at Shannonville.

Very tight timing for me. When is the next one? I would like to bring out one og the pigs to come and play with you guys. It seems to be well run and offering great value.

Kensai Racing usually runs 4 Mosport days per year. I'm gonna prepay all of them this year once they release the dates since I know I'll go to all 4 lol.

Marco just made it. This event is now sold out.

Eric, I only hold one big track event a year - the Friday after Victoria Day weekend. I also have a small track event at the DDC on Civic Holiday Monday. Send me your email via PM and I'll add you to my mail list for next year!

i might come just to check it out. I've been autocrossing my car regularly but have yet to do an HPDE, and i'm a little nervous about it. I'll try signing up for the next one, and getting a coach, unless Jim wants to 'track-school' me.
