So I decided to go over to the Milton Optimist Club Sunday Cruise Night. As the only 1988 and newer Asian at the party, I parked near the Mustangs; they used to be "family" once upon a time.
There was an early 80's Supra and a few Spitfires over in the vintage lot. Other than that, it was all Detroit testosterone.
Lots of folks stopped by and asked questions; I don't think many had ever seen an FD before.
I'll go back. If you live in the west end, feel free to join me; 6pm until dusk every Sunday night at the Milton GO station parking lot.

No, they don't cruise anywhere. Its a "cruise" in and "cruise" around the lot looking at and talking about all things automotive. Lots of open hoods; lots of nice hardware.

Hey that would be great; the more the merrier.
I am thinking we could just hijack this cruise as a weekly scheduled RX7 cruise for anyone who wants to come out. Maybe invite the RX8s.
Its a pretty neat cruise if you like cars. They do prize giveaways every week and they have a 50/50 draw. Lots of interesting old and new vehicles. Usually 100 or more every week. July 14 there will be judges from the Cruise Nationals present, so that one should be much larger. Due to the presence of Steeda in Milton, there are a lot of hopped up Mustangs around town and many come out.
Lot 1 is for 1988 and older. Lots of muscle cars, classic trucks, street rods, etc.
Lot 2 is 1989 and newer performance and specialty vehicles. Basically sports cars and a ocassionally a few monster trucks. Last year, some guy brought out a funny car dragster (it was either alcohol or nitro, not sure) and started it. Loud!
In terms of Asian content, towards the end of last year, there was me, a guy with a GSL-SE with a 20B turbo stuffed under the hood, a few Z cars, and this really nice NSX from Rockwood.
You need to be able to act like an adult on and off the lot; the Halton Regionals are usually around.
