So it looks like us Maritimers are packing up and heading to Calabogie for the Chump Car race on Labour Day weekend! We'll be racing a VW (I know...boo...hisssss) but it's a team of rotary owners and our team will be #787. Team name is "Bees?"

If anyone is coming out, look for the Mk2 GTi!

Noooo! I had forgotten all about this one. We're racing Canadian Touring Car at Mosport Labour day weekend with the 8 but are trying to have the Miata ready for ChumpCar at Mosport in October. Come on down then!!

 

It's a really long tow...

We're not likely to make Mosport, we have another local 3 hour race in October. Hopefully ChumpCar gets some races together next year that we can go to.

And if they get one together at our home track, AMP in August next year you should come down!

 

It's back on again.

 

Yeah, it was on, then cancelled, then on, then cancelled, we cancelled all of our reservations and made other plans, and then with less than a weeks notice, back on again. When we are coming that far, with jobs/businesses/lives and families, we couldn't work with the uncertainty I'm afraid. I'm really disappointed as I had kind of planned my summer around a Chump race and had 2 get cancelled from underneath us.
Now I have a spare race car.

As for Mosport, would love to but, none of us can afford that much more time (already booked vacation around the AMP event, then the Calabogie event) and we have a 3 hour season ending fund-raiser event at our local track that weekend that's only $100 per car to enter. It's no 16 hours at Mosport, but, so much cheaper.
