There's a big difference between a manual swap and a 20B installation. For one, a manual swap will cost under $1000 at a shop while a 20B installation will go for over $15,000.

I agree. I see 20B swaps leave the shop for no less than $15,000 all the time.

I know there isn't a shop in edmonton that would do a 20b swap, and if there were
i don't think you would find one that would do it for 15k unless you supplied everything, engine, all electronics, etc.
would be easier to just buy my 20b fc

Hey it just so happens that I have a 20B for sale and I could swap the motor in for you too.

But yeah $15k might be a bit light......depending what you want done and your HP goals

so it would probably be best to just put a turbo kit on my car and get the transmission changed

well my car is auto and its only a gxl what would be the easiest way to get my hands on a turbo kit. i thought it would be a bit more pricey to get my transmission swapped

Cheapest way to get turbo kit is to get a TII engine and transmission.

No turbo 'kits' exsist for N/A.

You can get a running TII with transmission and ECU for $1600 usually. Alls you would need after that is the mazdatrix TII tranny to N/A driveshaft, or make your own. Or do a complete TII drivetrain swap.

After that you need a TII hood or convert the Top mount intercooler to front mount.

So I think it reality, your looking at about $2000. Which, to me, is a pretty good deal.

You realise that it's far from bolt on, right? Check the 2nd gen forum FAQ.
