Call precision alignment for the inspection, great guys!

 

I'm not too familiar with calgary yet, moved here in Aug. Any good cheap glass places w/install? And that fb @ pnp was 12/1982
I nabbed a bunch of stuff, pass tail light, center plastic peice between taillights, hatch gas shocks, center consol/shifter trim, a bunch of switches, signal/wiper switch, one rim

 

I'll have to check that out tomorrow.

 

Nice, I just looked up that precision alignment and they are located on the same street as my work, haha like a few blocks away, thats sweet, I'm gonna try n get in there tomorrow possibly.

Lol, damn and here comes the newbie question... I havent looked into the "ignitors" yet... What are they for?

 

There are 2 of them on the side of the dizzy. they fail, it doesn't run. New ones $80 each, used ones fit in your change pocket.....any veteran had a few stored away, 2 in the glovebox and 2 in the toolbox at home. Ooooh and of course, at least one for Sean to mooch when he's in a bind. BTW Sea, come by after work tomorrow and help with the install! The springs weren't free buddy.....

 

You can have the header, I have absolutely no use for it because I dont have one.

Your right they wern't free. My arms are like Jelly after that install!

I'll see if I can get away after work (after 9). Im always up for a good old engine install.

I wonder if theres a place where I can get my MSD 6A tested so see if it works.

Headers are a dime a dozen. If you already have one on your car, the other one will just sit in your garage collecting dust.

 

Well thats just the thing, I have full exhaust 21/4" i think maybe 21/2", no header tho... so me want!!!

 

Dizzy is the distributor, you know that black car with the 6 wires coming out of it's head. the race is on, gotta get my boot on early tomorrow. I should have a header for sale by noon tomorrow for let's say 50 bucks........

Haha, funny... I know what a distributor is, just not familiar with the term dizzy.... anywhere in town a good place to shop for Wheels? I'm gonna need some nice rims and some slick rubber for cruisin.... God I love being single and making tons of money

 

I know of some wheels which might be worth checking out if they are lucky enough to fit. Tough bolt pattern to find!

 

Identifying a FB at the wrecker before getting all "your" parts is like advertising a $20 streetwalker in Forest Lawn and hoping to get first crack.

 

I swear my exhaust manifold or flange is leakin... but I ripped off the heatsheild and stuck my hand down there and didn't feel any leaks, you can hear some sort of leak tho... unless these rotarys make alot of noise in the manifold??? And I got my arm stuck against the hot maifold for about 5 seconds, god damn that burnt! I got branded by my Mazda! haha
So I'm transfering my insurance tomorrow, if not then by the end of the week(tomorrow I dont work)
I will need a little assistance with checkin out my carb "setup" it definitly looks like the previous own moded the carb... and ya.. I donno what all is done to it, just need a lil help.. maybe he didnt do it right, cuz I don't seem to have that much power...
I also pulled the air pump out, considering it wasn't connected to anything, it barley turns, it was taking up space, and weighs a few pounds...


AND what wheels were you thinking of?? cuz I just don't want these 13x5.5 wheels, Like common, I need 17x8 or something that looks good and will fit some nice tires...

 

Be careful with mounting the MSD coils on their sides like that, sometimes they can fail, they don't like to be tipped over.

We have Blaster 2's in our FC (converted to Carb -- FB distributer and coils), and we mount them upright.

Just keep your eye on them.

 

If you find some let us know. I been looking for 6 years - not hard though.

 

Why don't you get that full racing beat set up off the 7 at the wrecker?? That is gold, and makes a big difference!
