hmm, that sucks dude. I foresee many other run ins in tha police. What if you put in two butt-plugs into your mufflers for city cruising??? I saw that before on a highly modded TII.

True. I heard about some high power FC, think it was an AE, that runs some buttplugs!!! I also heard he is banned from a certain street with that buttplug in the exhaust.
FYI, that was my first exhaust ticket, but not my last. I just pay the damm things and be done with it.

Got a ticket earlier this week in my FD in Waterloo because my back tires are bald. Get a ******* life. It was 15 degrees, bright sunshine in cloudless sky, middle of the afternoon. I don't need to pay tax to hire a policeman to tell me how to use my tires.

Cops "do" have quota's here, I have a friend that is one. That is why I always take it easy in the last week of the month, traps around corners, bottom of hills and in many playground zones. I got accused of racing a trucks last summer (cop came a long way to catch me, probably only heard me) and only thing he could nail me with was failing to produce my registrations (wtf, $85.00) since it was in my other car. The plate matched the car, the sticker was up to date and I had my insurance pink slip with me. Thing is, I got stopped 5 min form home and he wouldn't compromise to follow me and get it, qutoas, you bet!

there should be a study done to show the before and after crime
rates in a community pre and post tim hortons.
In my city i know for a fact preventative policing is something of the past
unless its something that's happening between the local tims and the
rcmp office. even then if the need for a coffee is greater I am sure
they look the other way.
any given time of day there are police cars in the drive thru line up
and they can be in that line for 15 to 20 mins. which my job allowed me
to use a company car to have an extended coffee brake, while i rest in a
line up.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't like being woken up at 4 am because some dumb kid thinks a loud exhaust makes his car go faster. Loud exhausts are completely unnecessary and annoying as hell. If your car is ALWAYS loud regardless of RPM and throttle, you deserve a fine and a dose of common decency. If your exhaust is practical until you stomp on it, you don't deserve a ticket unless you stomp on it when people are trying to sleep. The only purpose I see for a loud exhaust is for attention. Well, if you want attention, expect it from people walking in the streets, other drivers, people in their beds trying to sleep AND from police.

I used to have the greatest respect for the rcmp but in the last few
years (in my area) the numbers of new / rookies has resulted in
a real attitude. I walk past some of the guys everyday (they are out for a smoke)
and they will look the other way and avoid eye contact, trying their best to
avoid having to (heaven forbid) say hi!

I agree with you a little bit about the young cops. They have that swagger to them, which sometimes makes you roll your eyes. That, and the fact that a lot of them seem like they used to be the highschool bully, and now they have the extra power.
