ha ha ha 5 min over, man just give them a break there is a way of duscussing it without making them look like a bunch of criminals and you look like a little child in second grade, just take it easy have some reaspect, atleast they are looking into new housing, cause you could just be stuck with your chromed ones for who knows, when, maybee they develope a huge type of advancement in Rotary technology and all you do is shoot them down, give them a chance, for that type of stuff it can be very hard to set up the proper "techniquies" for benchmarking and all you do is give them ****, well just lay off the **** for a while, and just talk like the mature men we all are.

.. I was talking nice , you should have heard what the P. Eng. here had to say about this... HE was not kind at all. AS far as me sounding like I'm in 2nd. grade ? why because I'm actually taking them to task on thier claims ? someone has too? and they sure aren't pony-ing up any sort of substance to back up anything they've said.
I'm put off because I saw the potential for a good thing and now it seems to be nothing more then hot air.. so far.
- rediculous pricing with an increase on the way with (no justification for the costs to begin with..)
- non exsistant data and proof of product , lends it's self to both my first point and the point I made earlier about everything they claim the CAN do is mearly a guess until they actually HAVE long term results.
- lack of willingness to support thier claims with HARD materials data.. makes me think of an infomercial that spends a 1/2 hr selling you something that's amazing.. yet they don't actually tell you what the product is and how it works and what it does..
- 1-2 months turn around on a housing sent from Ontario to Winnepeg?? if that is right then WTF is that about? I can order a custom 3 blade prop from Germany. Not pre built and get in one month.. and thier is a hell of allot more involved in prop fabrication then skimming and recoating 1.5sq/ft of surface..
I couldn't sell this product to anyone that I build motors for.. who'd buy it??
I can just hear the phone conversation now.... " I'm going to send your housing away to be recoated.. yes ' apparently ' it's better then the crome surface.. no I don't have data to back that up.... no they won't give it out.. no I don't know of anyone who's got long term use out of it.. actually no, it's much more expensive.. I don't know why they won't say.. and since your after a P port it's going to be 1-2 months before I get the housing back, maybe... no actually they are in North America, in Manitoba actually...Oh and it's also been 'reccomended' that you spend an extra $1200 on ceramic apex seals.. no, like before I have no clue why and no they don't have data... " and after the other end gets through laughing thier *** off at me because I look like an idiot for even bringing it up.. I order a set of REW or Renni housing that are in stock and ready to go for P-porting in two days..

I'm all for the testing and gathering of data on this process, but to charge a premium and make claims of proof based on a day of running or the ' oddly silent' racers using this process.. goes beyond farcsical...
I'm really fired up to get this data they speak of, I've got an Eng. sitting here just dying to get his hands on the info.. this of course provided that what this fellow above provides AS data is enough to work from.. but I have a feeling it's just more hot air.
someone has to poke these guys in the eye to get answers.. no one else seems willing to ' risk it', me? I don't care.. people hold me my work to higher standards everytime I reach them , the bar goes up.. makes me a better fabricator/ builder in the end.. it's always good to pass along the 'raised bar' for others...

I see both sides of the story on this one,
On the one hand, I been working at a tool insert making company for the last 10 months on my mech eng. tech co-op, and ive seen a shitload of the coolest looking cutting tool stuff you could ever think of. Ive actually held cutting tools worth more than my weeks pay, and unfortunatly, have never seen one actually cut something, but I am told SiN glows like a rocket's engines when it cuts. One of the materials we do grind is tooling grade cermet, which more than likely is the same stuff as the a or b. When the guys in the shop porgram the cermet, the slow the program down for cermet as compared to carbide, and slow it down even more if they switch to a ceramic blank. From this standpoint, i can see how cermet could improve the life of the housings, as chrome cant be the most wear resistant thing on the face of the planet.
Also, conversly, you have to back **** up as well. Most of this will come 2 years down the road when everyone was like, **** good thing i didnt get those housing! or Damn, this is the best thing to happen to rotaries! Mazda will then refine the technoligy we developed, and put it in the next rotary. The same thing happened with scalloped rotors, and the pineapple sleaves.
One day we will know if this product is better, but its unlikely a hard sheet will even come out, as the company polly doesnt want to a) buy a new motor, b) built a new motor with their housings and c) run them into the ground.

I will be using a set of their housings in my motor as well as the thermal coated rotors. I really hope I can financially finish this project by this summer so I can beat the living hell out of it all summer long. I do alot of driving during the summer so I hope I can put about 40-50k kms on the motor, then tear it down during the next winter to show everyone how the housings hold up.
I realize thats another year away before I'll actually have some results, but it would hopefully take away everyones skepticism about JHB's product.
I believe in JHB's claims and I believe its the BEST way to re-new used housings.

that's true, however since this is an in house, propriatary coating I have no way to know WHAT the properties of thier product is.. and after everything I've said above, I'm going to guess or even speculate.. ' pot this is kettle, yur black.. '

So, I'm still looking for this 'tech ' info that is suppose to be supplied .. you know the data that I'm suppose to be able to take and work out perfomance envelopes on my own ( ROTFLMAO ) .. yeah becuse that's going to tell me how this stuff lasts in real world apps..
The more I 'see' the shady-er these guys get.. the ' OMP bypass' .. so you can use 2 stroke.. that 'they' developed .. I'm sure RWS and in particular PVC Tech. would love to see your product.. This was brought to my attention by one of my aircraft customers.. So far there have been allot of questions , not just here but in the tech section as well .. and NO answers.. some regurgitated information that is common knowledge with no bearing on any of the questions that require in house answers..
