INTEREST CHECK; May 24th Movie&Meet with the NSX Club
Just an interest check, I was just asked by a friend who wanted to know if I would be interested in joining him and the NSX club in Oakville for a Movie&Meet to see the new Fast and Furious
I'm certainly interested, so I thought I'd check here and see if any other rotor heads wanted to come. (Almost entirely for the sake of the meet, not so much for the sake of the movie)

I think that's actually why the NSX Club chose that weekend - keep distance between them and the boy racers - a little more low key.

there is no way im going to a movie theatre with a nice car, theifs know you'll be in the theatre for at least 2 hours once you park the car

i think most of the guys will be going just for the cruise , i know i will be , but if your do get the sudden urge to go watch fast and furious 6 then it least there will be a ton more NSX's sitting there , they seem to be more rare than a rx7 lol

This. I like driving with my friend because his NSX gets humped by all the boy racers and I can relax knowing I can go into Tim's and grab a coffee while my 7 sits unmolested.
I am sincerely not worried about car theft if we have a bunch of sevens and the majority of the NSX club cars sitting there - too many people will be milling about looking at them, even when we're in the theater, for anyone to be bold enough to break in and steal one.

blake that sounds good to me , lets do that then. and i think what you mean is if "MY" car is back together again lol im pretty sure im further off the mark than you are at this point , my transmission isnt even mounted back in yet
Ya we both gotta get them ready quick. I had to pull my motor again and rebuild it. Blew an apex seal on the dyno. But ya ill txt you and we'll make plans.

So an update -
it's not just the NSX club - with the Ontario Exotic Owners Association, so there will be a lot of Italians and Germans there along with us and the NSX club. AND bonus - it's actually a DRIVE IN movie - share our cars, have a good time with some like minded people and watch what might actually be a decent flick (the last two were alight!) So come on guys - lets make a go of it.

Remember - Engine Revving = puts the public in danger!
Saturns Drives is bringing it back old school.
Watch FF6 on an outdoor screen size of 47' X 95' and that's roughly the size of an IMAX screen.
Saturns Drives will hold a meet for the release of the new film series "Fast & Furious 6" with our cars.
Location: 2332 Ninth Line Oakville, ON L6H 7G9
Date: Fri May 24, 2013 7pm onwards
There is a diner on grounds which features classic items such as pogos, hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken fingers.
Only Cash at the Box Office and diner.
Come really early to secure prime parking spots
This is an open meet and other cars will be in attendance.
Movie will start after 9pm.
General Admission: $12.00
Kids: 5-12 years: $2.00
I am working with management to see if we get some special consideration.
Strict rules:
No OUTSIDE food allowed.
No smoking near the buildings
Absolutely NO Burnouts, Peel-outs, Speeding, Engine Revving, or anything that will put the general public in danger.

Sadly I can't make it - my 0630 MRI got bumped to 1930, which royally screws my attendance. You guys should go if you can make it though, it'll be a good turnout of guys, the exotic guys are still going, as are a good chunk of the NSX guys.
