Importing with A-spec

I have searched and read all the a-spec stuff, there wasn't that much regarding how they import cars from u.s. and such i was wondering if anybody has ever used them to buy an rx-7 (FD for me), how did it go, how long did it take, was the replaced bumper done right and lagite(however u spell it), anything i should watchout for ect. (personall experience on buying a car off them plz.) THX.

Well if you read all the stuff about a-spec then you would know its all negative. So I wouldnt want to be the first to find out how they import rx7s or and if they are in good/bad condition or not. If I were you, I would just be patient and look around in the auto trader first. I've only heard bad things about a-spec not only from teh forum but from people I know.

Based on their work, I wouldn't trust them to import a Hot Wheels model of and FD.

You have no idea, I bought my S5 TII from them and the more I learned about these cars the more I noticed was fukd up with my ride.

They installed a boost sensor from an S4 because they didn't have one from an S5 (heaven forbid that THEY should pay $300 for a new one. I mean, I did pay $8000 for the car) so the car only boosted at 3psi. It was a front end collission car, so after they fixed the front end damage, they installed an S4 bumper instead of the S5. They lost one of the center caps for my rims, they left the hoses for the headlight sprayers hanging, they left out the filler neck for the windshild washer fluid, they didn't have a TII hood, so they cut a hole in an N/A and molded a fiber glass scoop that wasn't heat treated so the paint bubbled, the car came with stock Momo leather shifter and steering wheel, I had my own after market wheel, so they installed it and the other wheel magically disappeard along with the shifter.......the list goes on and on........oh I do have something good to say though, when I blew my first engine, Steve was nice enough to store the car at his mom's place until I got the money together (about 6 months), but then when it came time to build the engine in April, he told me that they didn't have the time so if I wanted to drive my car I would have to install a "good" used motor. Then when they towed the car to the shop, they didn't use a flat bed, so the fiber glass front skirt they installed when I bought the car was totally destroyed. Well, it started out as a good thing. Oh I've got another one, I used to be a regular A-spec custy and when I got layed off from my job, Steve let me work at the shop. All and all, they are good guys at heart. They did do a lot for me and I will never forget it, but when it comes to their cars, its not Paul who is the problem, it Steve because unless something has changed since I stopped going there a few years ago, he is ALL ABOUT THE $$$

Sorry for the long post, take as you like.

Thx for the info guys, what im hearing is that I should not get work done by them for sure, and its probaly not worth using them to import a car here, but if anybody has imported a car through i would still like to hear your views on how it went.
