Screw winter.
I just pulled out my pressure washer and washed my cars today. I pretended it was summer.
I had to use hot though, so it won't freeze on the car.
Now my driveway is a skating rink.

I'm loving this winter. Getting work done on the car. Should have the interior done by next weekend. It's sunny in the 70's most days, and it's been dry enough to paint. I was able to turn the AC off in the house, and open a few windows.

Still in shorts.

I'll gladly ship some of our 11 foot snow banks to you! I generally love winter, especially with the rotary snowmobile to play with. This winter however has dragged on too long for me too. I need to get at my projects, but I have no heated work spaces to do anything. Guess I'll just keep playing the waiting game and do what I can with the Evinrude to warm the earth up.

As brutual as the winter is, climate change is also making the summers hotter everywhere ... so that guy in Florida who's boasting on how great it is right now, wait until summer arrives and he's drowning in humidity and hurricanes and also dying from heat and lack of fresh, drinkable water.

We are blessed as guardians of the Great Lakes. Fresh water should cost more than gasoline and soon it will. We'll all be driving soon enough.

My flight to Cali leaves tomorrow 10:25. Only bad part is it's the middle of the men's hockey gold medal game.

To say nothing of rising sea levels that will put most of Florida underwater... when the state's average elevation is only 20', there's a whole lot of area that can't take much rise in ocean levels or storm surges.

That I just bought a property on Vancouver Island and I'm gonna move.

LA was pleasure. Saturday was a bit cool - only got up to 17C! Didn't stop me wearing shorts day and night there. Was 21 when I left Burbank yesterday morning... and -21C here in Calgary this morning. As my hosts pointed out, in LA I could head east to the mountains and ski in the morning, then head to Venice or Santa Monica and catch the waves in the afternoon. That's rubbing it in!

Maybe if we all start our cars at the same time we can scare winter away?

Blerg. Lows of -36 forecast for the weekend.

I only just got my new-to-me-7 in October. I drove it a grand total of five times before the snow hit. Now I'm looking at late April at the earliest before I can even think about bringing it out.

That reminds me of the time when I first picked up the FD.

Got to drive it the entire month of Oct before putting it away just before Halloween. Winter arrived early that year.

This winter is never ending....
