How much do you guys pay for insurance on your rx-7?

Question How much do you guys pay for insurance on your rx-7?

I have a 93 FD and I pay 190 per month from wanwessa (sp?) insurace. Just wondering what others pay and what company you guys were with

A lot of it depends in what province you live.

For example....

When I lived in Montreal I had 2 cars insured: The Rx7 (86 GXL) with collision and fire/theft and vandalism, and an Audi with just basic plus the fire/theft and vandalism. Both cars together cost me about $500 a YEAR.

In BC, for the same coverage, just the Rx7 costs me $122 a MONTH!

That's what private vs. public insurance will do for you.


Not being able to change your province, there tend to be discounds for:
No Accidents
No Claims
10+ years of driving
Being over 30
Being married
Driving the car less than 15 kms each way to work/school
Having an anti theft device
Being a member of a group plan or Fleet Insurance (eg Air Canada, CAA, Bell etc)

If you have any of these make sure your insurance knows, as it may well improve your premium.

$108 per month for a 87 turbo from State Farm

I called recently for a quote on a 3rd gen and I was told $120 per month.

180-ish/mo for and FD and a 2005 Lancer Ralliart through TD insurance, 500 deductable, and i think 5 or 8 million liability. +3 on whatever is standard now.

$190/month with 1 at fault (4yrs ago) on FD and 92 civic. That's with discount with house insurance.

^ I'd heard that bike insurance had jumped up, that's not bad.

I pay $750 a year for liability only on my TII.

maybe get a non "sports" car for awhile, you'll be able to buy another car with the cash you save

900$ per year for my 02 protegé. I'm second driver on my FD ... still too expensive to be first... got a quote of 2100$ last year . I'm 20.

At Airdrie Insurance, I just called them yesterday for a quote on a JDM FD and they said that will full coverage it is $1600/year, pl/pd fire and theft is $1100/year and just pl/pd is $900/year.

I am gettin a First bill of 176 for TWO Rx7's (N/a) Full coverage..the Payments after that First Balloon payment Should be around 135.I am in my Late 40's ..and had a Checkered Past..

$138/m - 85 Rx-7 liability only and I have a clean record, under 25.

Wife pays $129/m Full coverage on the 06 Jeep.
