How I spent my Birthday on Saturday...
Sorry folks, but I'll take Road Atlanta over Mosport anyday. The Petit Le Mans was a fantastic event at the most remarkable track I've been to (and I've been to dozens). The elevation changes make Mosport look average with the climbs through corner one and out of the esses and especially the drop of twelve down to the front straight serious pure gut-checks. The speed these guys carried at night through some of the technical areas was insane... And no the rotary car didn't last the race even though they said reliability was on their side. Their engine blew up with an hour left in corner one and their oil slick took out another car. Just a few pics...

The beautiful Creation prototype, the Zytek is a piece of work too...
And some mad fans... You could find anything here. The popular thing was digital video projectors at each campsite, you could go play Forza on the sides of peoples trailers or watch the Chinese Grand Prix via satalite...

Night...
There is one short dip in the back stretch where you could watch the most of the prototypes bottom out and leave a cloud of sparks. Poor example but it gives you an idea. In person it's addictive to be beside the back straight with the glow of the lights, sound of the various cars, and the sparks...
