With no experience it is a bad idea. Buy an FC lol you can get one for cheap and if you ask me, they still look pretty damn good =)

Well im sure there are worse ideas out there...but if land the wrong FD you could definetly regret your decision. I was in a position like you a few years ago and after reading the 3rd gen section quite extensively i decided to get an FC first.....she's quite the pain in the ***

Thats true, you can never trust those modded rides at the dealerships or even at the private sellers.... you never kno what quality workmanship went into it or truly WHY theyre selling it

Ok, nobody else has suggested, so I will. Get an FB (first gen). I've driven both and enjoyed the ride of the first gen far more. And as far as I'm concerned, it has better lines of contour than the FC's. But don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn down an FD if given the opportunity. Those are damn sexy and high performance machines.

No offence to the FC owners out there, but the FC did lend itself to the concept of 'zedvolution' as most car models tend to over time.

FB have their list of problems. FC's have a much much greater list of problems. In non-turbo trim, I think they are about the same performance wise.

The FC is the only one that's consistently on the road.
