so just because you ran a light you are gonna sign a petition to get rid of front license plates?

i can understand the areodynamic arguments, and the heating argument, but do you think you are gonna be able to sway the general publics vote, all it will take is the politicians to say its for safety, its to help uphold the law, and it helps keep taxes lower... if they got rid of the front plate i wonder how many intersection accidents would increase since they cant photo your car running the light..

Uhh, they usually photo the car from the rear if I'm not mistaken. If there are this many problems why do 5 other provinces and all the territories not have front plates? There is no real logic to having a front plate.

You forgot to insert a 4th reason to not have the plate... It looks a hell of a lot better sans plate. Signed

Then why am I allowed as a dealer/garage to use a dealer or service plate which only requires being on the back of the car?

signed... i havent been running a front plate since i got the car cuz i dunno how to mount it... I kept it on my dash but then a cop stopped me at ride and told me that it would decapitate my passenger in an accident and that i had to mount it and when i said there was no where to mount it she said "well just get it off your dash!" lol

I'm just gonna tell people that I have ordered a bracket but it hasn't arived yet.

because its a dealer plate... and insurance companies only issue one plate for a dealer.... at least thats how it is in BC...

and the bracket excuse will only work for so long, i used that excuse for a couple months but eventually the same cop harrassed me about wrote me a ticket saying that i had so many days to get it on and proove that i had otherwise my car would get impounded...

Signed, despite the fact that I just moved back to Ontario, spent $100 to buy brackets for my 4 vehicles and had to drill some nasty holes in the fascia of my Focus.

Thats not my point though.

If a dealer is allowed to run around with a plate on the rear only - then it OBVIOUSLY meets the requirements for being viewed/evaluated by police while driving.

So why have two?
