Gauge reading question

Hi all, I bought a water temp gauge (AutoMeter) for the 1987 n/a, the reading on the gauge is 40 to 120 Celcius. Is this enough reading to monitor my tempature..I just don't know at what is the normal temp on these cars.

My regards

It's plenty. If you make it to 120 you'll have a big problem. Most of the time it will be in the 80's.
