Yes, it has been a long time since the car hit the track, but after careful consideration (and the fact that the Cougar is taking way too long to get ready) the Nummelin Motorsport Group has decided to bring the #23 RX7 out of semi-retirement and run the BEMC Indian Summer Trophy Races and the CASC Celebration Weekend.

The present intention is to run the car in the 3 Hour Indian Summer Enduro on Saturday (if I can find a co-driver) and if the car is capable running the 2 Mobil 1 Sprint Races on Sunday we will enter it in those as well. I believe that we will enter the GTB class and see how fast we can pedal the beast. It should be capable of getting into the 1:37's if all works right. I may use some pieces we got with the Cougar to help us go as fast as we can for as long as we can.

As well we have some very exciting plans for the #23 RX7 for the 2009 race season. I will post about this when the plans become more solidified and the funding gets worked out. It could be a great opportunity.

How many people still attend CASC race weekends? If we run the 3-Hour we may need a couple of crew guys.
