can i run a pipe right off the turbo or do i need a downpipe? is it a big fine for running no cat? the car dosent need an e-test so am i in the clear? the exhaust port i n the turbo isnt big enough for a three inch pipe so my plan was to start at 2.5 then expand to 3'' will it work?

the first pipe off the turbo is the downpipe, the stock turbo has a 3" exhaust outlet so i don't know where u go 2.5 from?!?!
if u don't have to pass emission then yes u can take off the cat, but an exhaust shop can't do it for u.

well its an s5 turbo and i mesured the opening with a tape and it measured 2.5 inches so thats where i got that number and i know what a downpipe is but the stock downpipe apeared to be thicker than normal exhaust pipe so i was wondering if i needed that extra thickness or if i could just bend it all in one pipe or not. i think i got it figured out thanks for posting man. haha looks like no cats for me
