Like many of you, I've dreamed of owning an FD since 1993. Always had plans of getting one after University but decided against it at that time to purchase a house. Well, I've been dealing a bit with a trusted fellow in Japan and he found me a super nice original '92 back in January. I jumped at the oportunity to add yet another JDM to the streets of Calgary …. took my chances on a good long road trip a couple weeks back. She ran flawlessly .... 2200KM of pure joy.

I headed out from Calgary to Vernon/Kelowna and met up with a good friend with a rare JDM GT-Four. He took some nice shots of the FD for me to share.

You guys have a great community where I've learned a lot ... just wanted to say hi - looking forward to a few gatherings this year to meet some of you in person!

Very nice example of what Japan has to offer. What kind of premium did that command if you dont mind us finding out?

 

I'm in it for a little over 12G now ... that includes a brand new clutch/flywheel, airbox, and fuel pump upgrade.

I imported it direct. I purchased from Brave Auto in Tokai Japan .... I've developed a good relationship with the owner and he offered me this one last Jan. We paid a lot for it but it's definetely worth putting a bit more money down in the beginning - still, that's not to say that it'll be a guaranteed solid runner.

I've been fortunate on this one.
