Finally :)

So Zhe's car with the first engine I rebuilt was finally ready for tuning today. Went out just get get it set up for WOT as we can't raise the boost until the 3bar map sensor comes in so just tuning it at wastegate pressure. Started the first pull but was leaned out so had to let off. Added some fuel up top and did the 2nd pull and it was just smiles until redline . Did a few more pulls just to lean out the low-end and called it a day as I wasn't trying to get it perfect but safe. I only did 4 pulls total.

Anyway, I can't begin to describe the feeling I had when I did a 1st (thanks to Zhe's 285 performance tires), 2nd,, 3rd, and 4th gear pull to redline. I couldn't help but smile and be excited. Wastegate pressure was only 0.8 bar (11-12 psi) but it was pulling nice with the 500R.

Took it to Zhe's and we went for a test drive. He was pretty surprised and didn't expect the power the few times he got on it. Needless to say he was pretty happy and theres more to come when we turn it up to 16 PSi and maybe in the future 20 PSi with water injection . When its fully tuned @ 16 PSi, gonna put it on the dyno as I'm curious how it compares to my Mazdee's porting as its my old turbo and similiar exhaust setup.

I tried to make a video pulling through the gears but Zhe was so excited he failed getting it into 3rd. He also short shifted and couldn't make it to redline almost every time lol. Not used to the power at all. There was a street race with a modded 370Z at some point too >_>

Anyway, I'm extremely happy that the first engine I rebuilt and street ported was a success. It has a butter smooth ~1,000 RPM idle with 14 inches of vacuum and solid oil pressure. I think there's close to 2k km already on it

Here's a pic of the 2 cars I have rebuilt... Zhe's is the red one and the black one is my RHD that I bought with a blown engine not long ago. No issues on the RHD either with around 400 km on it

Let's see the video!! I have been eyeing the 500r that is for sale on the forum, trying to compare it to your turbo.

How did the race go with the 370?

It was a 350z, there wasnt a actual race, the 350z merged on to the 401, i looked at his car, he looked at mine, 3 seconds later he just rips it. Me being curious of my new found power, i drop it in 3rd and try to catch up, then he starts to cut in to my lane as i was catching up and as i pass him, he lets off.
But yes, finally the car runs nice again, car went under the knife at the beginning of last November, I've been waiting so long for this it almost feels like a dream come true
