engine trans install prob
i was trying to install my engine and trans last night. im doing the auto to man swap. to make a long story short, my trans mount does not line up with the holes on the chasis.
its a s4 block, with s4 trans (possibly s5) can't tell.
is there something that im missing like a trans bracket or something?
any input world be great.

you need to use the bracket from that transmission,
example for S4 T2 tranny you need a S4 T2 transmission mount
for S5 T2 tranny you need a S5 " "" " " "
The automatics share the same one ( s4 and S5 )
and NA's have there transmission mount.
long story short you need to find the correct transmission mount.

as for the driveshaft, i asume i will need the auto one because my t2 ds is almost 4-5" too long.

you need to fab up a bracket using the auto trans crossmember, and you would need the same driveshaft as the trans/diff, unless you mix trans/diffs, such as turbo trans, n/a diff. the underside of the auto frame has the bolt holes 2 inches futher from the trans, which you prolly noticed. the bracket is really easy to maek, it just has to be a 8" strip of metal with 3 holes, one for the auto trans bracket bolt, and the other two drilled to mate the manual trans. there is a writeup in the 2nd gen forum.
