Hey Boys,

Hey Smitter, how you liking the setup? I'm having a hard time to let go of the twins and their respose for low end.

I think that a single will be going in at some point but would like to have minimal lag. Plus I would have to redo the interior as everything has been tagged with RX7TT!!! Nothing has been easy to switch on my car. At least vader kit is gone!

Let me know..

Lib, i will let u know, maybe u can get in on the dyno day with us aswell. I know of at least 2 more single turbo fds in Calgary. what is you setup?

Golden Child, how are u. its been a while. i am loving the single setup, so much power and so little bullshit, and the engine runs super cool now, dont see anything over 90c for water temps. come and check it out for yourself to see what u think. u still got my #?, hit me up this weekend and we'll go for a drive.

Rx Spec7, i look forward to lining up with u, or maybe just going for a ride in project FC.

84 stock, why u need to wait till june, i guess we could c how much interest there is on this and try to make it a public dyno day for the Calgary members.??????????????

Smitter sounds good!!! Definately will check out the setup but this weekend isn't going to work for me. I would definately be in for a tune just to see where i'm at. Let me know and will make it.

Only limitation will be if its early june I may not have my car back. Its in vancouver getting sprayed and a new kit. Plus I'm not looking foreward to the drive back, the eibachs and tokicos give it a very stiff ride.( 8 hours of your kidneys getting pounded!!)

Let me know. and I'll make sure its back! Any ideas on who would be tuning? I know I cant!

Details limited as I wait, "and wait" for Max to return my call or even answer the phone. I know he's been real busy as of late.

Well, got the motor torn apart. Catastrophic failure due to massive detonation. Talked to Max today, he's donating a pair of rotors toward the rebuild. I bumped up the boost a little and was experimenting with the mechanical discovering some upper rpm hp and well, you soon learn how to blow things up by mistake. It detonated so bad that I snapped an apex on the front rotor and sheared the tips off all three on the back rotor. Guess if i wasn't running an open header I would have heard some massive ping when that was happening.

Like the twin towers, everything has a week spot. I forgot to mention that I was having some issues with a fresh tank of fuel as well. Plus, I bumped up the boost a bit without backing out enough timing.

Fuel was from shell. Max recommends Centex and i used to like 94 @ Mohawk, so we'll be more careful in the future. Housings, rotors toast. Irons okay.

It popped doing the video shoot..funny thing is it didn't pop, it just stalled. But you wouldn't have been able to hear it pop anyway.. http://media.putfile.com/blown-rx7-compilation this is a condensed version of the shoot...
